Nice hotel but poor service
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed for a few days in February at the Steigenberger Nile Palace. Of the upheavals in the country we saw almost nothing in Luxor, only the police was more friendly than usual. Yet you should really go there, pleasant temperatures and you can enjoy the sights. Our room was nothing special and not always really clean. However, the hotel is very nice with a beautiful pool overlooking the Nile. Although the hotel is not as central to the temples and the shops, its location is still very beautiful. Although the food was really good, we were disappointed by the service. It was not paid any attention to clean tables, coffee was not refilled and was of poor quality. And we often had to wait until a waiter came over to us at all. Interestingly, the official sevice manner for the Egyptian managers were very quickly. We would recommend the hotel very much if the personnel would be better trained.
