Very nice hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ADuring our recent visit in Luxor we have chosen us for the steigenberger Nile palace, since we this time a German chain hotel wanted to visit. And it is a very nice house, wonderful location with view on Nile and the west bank.
The room and balcony were spacious, we got a room without extra charge for Nile out, probably also, because the hotel was not full. The is a relaxing situation, of course, first of all, because you are not for the places at the beautiful pool at the buffets had to wait. Us has surprised, however, that the service, despite fewer guests, was rather bad, as we it used were of Luxor.
A first of all: the food, whether in the reviewer, the Lebanese or the Italians, was good and tasty. And there was also the service quite good. We were on a dinner in the Thai restaurant. The was a something disconcerting experience, because we the, what we us on the map and have also ordered, have not received. The waiter there seems to be two, three on english phrases to may say, but he apparently otherwise hardly something. After our appointment he gave this probably further to a kind hostess and what happened then is, we know it not. At least we had ordered something with shrimp, beef but got. It was good, only not the, what we wanted. We have complained then the head waiter us and asked the manager, but it did not come anybody. We have paid and are gone, but with the unpleasant feeling, that somehow hardly a white, what service is.
Also at the bar had we not the feeling, that you really want to do to the guests, rather, that in the background of any important is something else.
We are frequent in the pub in the evening went 2000, relaxing the was for us, also if we now are no english.
Otherwise, we can really only recommend the hotel and if you have something more for German guests, for example, to the reception would do (or even a German-speaking contact person would have), it would be even better.
