Loved it, want to go back already!
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel in general was very clean and quite big. There were cleaners every day cleaning the hotel and the rooms.
We stayed all inclusive and felt we got a lot for our money as there was a wide range of food and we could get ice-cream and any drinks from the surrounding bars.
The majority of the guests were Polish, Russian, German, Egyptian and a few English families and couples.
Location
The hotel was right next to the beach and our room even had a sea view. It's literally a 3 minute walk to the beach from the hotel and if you don't want to walk, there is even a mini shuttle bus which runs regularly from the hotel to the beach and back.
The hotel is located on a main road with lots of shops nearby and restaurants and bars and clubs. But there is always people standing outside the shops asking you where you're from and trying to get you to buy things!
There is also a nearby diving centre and snorkelling excursions which is a must and we went to Cairo with a Thompsons operator and Luxor with a private excursion operator, both cases we were picked up from and returned to the hotel.
The staff, from reception to barmen where excellent. They helped with all problems and were very friendly.
The animation team were amazing, always keeping you happy and entertaining all ages.
The staff also knew several languages including English, Russian, Polish and many more.
Our room was cleaned everyday and we were given a free bottle of water everyday and even more if we asked the cleaner.
Security was very good and complaints were handled well, for example, one guest in the hotel harassed us and security immediately sorted it out and was removed from the hotel the next day.
Gastronomy
There was a wide range of food in the restaurant to suit everyone with lots of salad, pasta, rice and loooadds of dessert. There was also a theme every night for dinner which made it more interesting. Although i wasn't too keen on the food as i'm quite picky and it was sort of similar every day, the rest of my family loved it and we got a lot for our money being all inclusive. There was also a lot of fresh fruit and the restaurant was always clean and we even saw someone disinfecting the whole restaurant late at night! There was also another restaurant inside the hotel called Taverna where as part of our all inslusive deal we got a free a la carte meal. There were only some items on the menu which we could actually have for free but we were allowed to eat salad, soup, main and dessert, but the portions were huge!!
Sport & Entertainment
The entertainment was amazing with something different every day and night. During the day the animation team encouraged you to join in with activities whether you were lying next to the pool or on the beach, activities included volleyball, gymnastics and stretching and the animation team would always shout 'Don't be lazy, be crazy' and 'Don't be shy, be high'! At night there were shows from belly dancing to bingo night and again animation team encouraged you to join in and go on the dance floor where there was a disco afterwards. There was also a disco for children around 8pm everyday.
There were two pools which are quite bug and very clean. The beach is also nice and quite clear, you can even see fishes swimming, but beware of rocks and corals as my brother grazed his knee on the first day so couldn't swim in the sea or pool for the rest of the holiday!
There are loads of sunbeds next to the pool and on the beach which you don't have to pay for. You can collect beach towels next to the hotel pool which you can take to the beach as well.
Room
Our room was standard with a balcony that had a nice sea view and you could see the sunset, there was a television which had a couple of English channels with films on everyday which my brother enjoyed. There was also a safe, fridge and we got a free bottle of water every day from the cleaner and got more if we asked. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom and the air conditioning was a life saver.
Tips and recommendations
Be prepared to get a stomach bug, we all got one and many other people in the hotel did too, we don't think it was to do with the hotel though as everything was so clean, it was probably due to not being used to the high temperature. There is a pharmacy right next door however, where we bought antibiotics which helped us.
