Sunrise Holidays Resort is worth visiting
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel looked very good, both the building and outside. It was clean and tidy at all times, in all seven floors.
Since all food and drinks were included, we ate breakfast and dinner daily in the hotel restaurants. Breakfast may also be served in your room, for a small price. Lunch was also included in the restaurants.
We were two of four Norwegian guests at the hotel. There was a large majority of Germans and Russians there, but also some British. Very few young people at this time of year. For most people over 50.
Location
Distance from airport: 10-15 minutes in car.
The hotel had its own beach, so we could just put on our swimsuits in the morning and go out on the beach. The beach was filled with sun loungers and parasols.
The hotel is not in the middle of the chaos of shops and vendors. It was very nice to be able to leave the hotel without being stopped by the sellers immediately. But if we went five minutes into the city streets were filled with shops and vendors, on both sides.
There are many activities you can sign up through the hotel. Snorkelling, safaris, spas, etc.
Everyone who worked at the hotel was welcoming, friendly and easy to approach.
Most staff spoke good English and German (and some Russian).
Our room was thoroughly washed and cleaned every day, and if this was not wanted, we could hang up a sign on the door.
Gastronomy
The hotel had three restaurants. One of them, we could only use once during the stay. All three restaurants had a pleasant atmosphere.
We were satisfied with the food. Lots to choose from, but the variation from day to day could have been a little better.
We were not afraid to eat the food at the hotel. Everything looked very clean and tidy, and it seemed as if they put hygiene high.
Sport & Entertainment
The animation team at the hotel, which consisted of about 7 people, created a lot of life and entertainment throughout our stay. Without them it would not stay been as good. They organized sporting activities and dance on the beach and inside the hotel, both day and evening. By the staff of the hotel, there were those we had the most contact with. They were fun, friendly and easy to talk to. We also noticed that other guests appriciated them.
The beach was clean and tidy, as was the pool and surrounding area.
You could also shop at the hotel. 5-6 different stores.
Access to the Internet, to a certain price. A little expensive, and slow network.
Room
Our room consisted of two single beds, TV, refrigerator / mini bar, wardrobe, balcony, air conditioning and bathroom.
The beam in the shower was quite weak, and air conditioning yelled a lot. Other than that, we were very pleased with the room.
