As part of a tour we stayed for 2 days at the Ballachulish hotel. The hotel is old and nicely furnished, some with antiques. There's no hotel elevator, so it is not recommended for people with Bewegungseinschränkungen. Our room on the 2nd floor. Floor was clean and well furnished, there was a small TV (only english channels), a kettle and a hair dryer. The bathroom was big enough, also very nicely appointed and there was good soap, shampoo and shower gel. The rooms are very thin and the floors creak so it is worth it, despite the stairs on the 2nd floor. Fifth floor. At breakfast (english) there were sometimes to wait, sometimes there were not enough glasses, toast, but the food was delicious. Tour groups could between each 3 starters, main dishes and desserts, everything was served efficiently and was also very tasty. Near the hotel there were no shopping or leisure facilities. Highly recommended for a few nights if you want to explore the area by car.
