Therese-Malten-Villa
Hotel review Therese-Malten-Villa
An enchanting, idyllic vacation spot
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Therese Malten Villa and its neighborhood constitute one of those spots that are so delightful and idyllic that you want to keep them secret. The villa itself is a beautifully restored mansion that was originally built around 1890. It is in a quiet residential area of Kleinschachwitz, and a five-minute walk from the Elbe River. On the opposite bank is the eighteenth century Schloss Pillnitz. None of this particular area was damaged in the Second World War, nor has it been subjected to much postwar "development," and thus has retained a distinct "old world" atmosphere. Downtown Dresden, magnificently restored, is a 25-minute tram ride, while the nearest railroad station is about a ten-minute ride.
For travellers who are budget conscious and/or prefer to prepare their own meals, the Villa is perfect - guests have full run of a big, comfortable kitchen/dining room.
