Fantastic hotel
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AI have just returned from my 2nd holiday at the Titanic where myself, wife and 2 kids (11 and 6) spent 2 weeks. We stayed for 10 nights in 2009 and whilst I would definately return again next year I think I will revert back to 10 nights 12 max. I felt that the food, whilst excellent choices and variety was starting to get a bit repetitive. We dined at one of the a la carte restaraunts and I would highly recommend this to anyone going. If asked I would suggest that perhaps the Stella Bar and Otag Tent could be utilised at night as we did find the main dining room extremely busy every night and ended up delaying our evening meal until nearer closing time to avoid the crowds.
I would really struggle to pick fault in the hotel as there was plenty of things to keep my kids occupied, if anything I would recommend that perhaps we had some more English Channels on the TV, out of 40 there were maybe 2 we could watch. I know I am not on holiday to watch TV but after chilling out by the pool all day I wanted to cool down in the room for an hour before going out at night. Entertainment was fabulous although some of the shows were out of this world with effort and work out in to provide a fantastic show, sometimes I felt more suitable to adults than children.
Myself and my wife were considering next year perhaps trying another hotel and we went on a tour of the Royal Wings which we had heard a lot about, whilst we did think it was lovely, on return to our own hotel both felt immediately when we walked through our front door the Titanic was more impressive. Overall, excellent and will definately be back. I did notice this year a lot of familiar faces that had been there last year, which can only be a positive sign.
