For those seeking peace and quiet *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe house was built in 1989, but hasn't lost any of its familial charm. The host family is very nice. The host is also a win grower among other things and had a very good wine. The house has 15 rooms on 2 floors.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to get one of the top rooms with a fantastic view over the sea. We got a 3-bed room for the price of a double room, so we had plenty of room ... unfortunately, the dishes and cutlery are not the newest and not very clean. Detergent is not available. Also no kettle.
We had not booked breakfast.
Location
Via some (quite steep) steps you can get to the small beach - dogs are also welcome! The garden is a dream: olive trees, large rosemary bushes, oleander, etc. provide for some relaxation.
When you turn left up the road, after an approximately 10-minute walk you get to a nice and good restaurant (on the right). If one walked further up the street, you get to the village. If you like walking, this is the place for you ... there are some supermarkets, restaurants, basically everything you need.
We didn't go on any excursions ... before that we spent 10 days in Sarti (in Sithonia). Without a car would it is hard to explore the peninsula. Buses run, but rarely.
Very hospitable family - you can ask them anything. The cleaning lady was also very friendly ... unfortunately, the dishes and the silverware are not top!

Sport & Entertainment
If you swim a bit farther out, then you can enjoy the sand under your feet. Clear water and rather windless. On the beach seaweed was often washed ashore.
The beach itself is rather narrow and not amazing but OK. It was not very crowded despite it being peak season, rather quiet, which we enjoyed.
No pool. The hotel's own beach is tiny. About a 5-minute walk to the left along the beach (over stones), you get to another bay.
Room
Like I said we were given a 3-bed room for the price of a double room... but the size should be OK. The shower has no shower curtain!!! Bathroom is rather small.
There is no kettle. Hob and pots OK. Cutlery, unfortunately, a bit old.
It is best to bring your own coffee from home, because the one you get in Greece is very expensive and not fair trade.
Tips and recommendations
June to September is certainly a good travel time ! We didn't have a mobile phone.
