Das Hotel liegt nah am 2 km-langen Strand. Für Reisende, die Ruhe, Erholung, großartige Bade- und Wandermöglichkeiten suchen, ist dieses Hotel perfekt. Es liegt im rauen und ursprünglichen Westen der Insel. Die Platia ist immer noch sehr ursprünglich, da von den Offiziellen darauf geachtet wird, dass der Charakter (wenig Bauten, einheitliches Dorfbild) gewahrt bleibt. "Naturgemäß" gibt es auf Lesbos weniger historisches zu sehen. Autofahrten nach Mytilini sind mittlerweile durch eine neue Straße nicht mehr anstrengend. Das Nightlife ist nur für Frauen interessant.
Rundum ein perfektes Domizil für Leute, die Willens und in der Lage sind, ihren Urlaub selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. (z. B. junge Fmailien oder Naturliebhaber) Die Inhaber (Antonios und Susanna) sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit.
