Central hotel with its own pigeons plage *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is very centrally located in close proximity to the Ponte Veccio.
If you come by car you should ask, as the entrance in the area of the hotel is regulated. It seems to be for residents only and is supervised by numerous police.
We are from the airport with the bus to the station (5 euros per person) and from there continue on foot, because we only had hand luggage.
After sharp check-in we could move into our room. It was very small, a double bed, a nightstand left, right and nightstand the minibar.
A small table with chair, and a built-in closet. Facilities include a small flatscreen tv, and a safe deposit box.
The bathroom was also mini, with toilet, bidet, sink and a bathtub and shower. The cleanliness was nothing to complain about.
The room was due to the location in the first stick with view on a narrow alley dark. Due to the simple paned windows, the noise offers, it was quite noisy at night. Buses pass through the alley.
A reason for us, to book this hotel, was the roof terrace on the sixth floor.
Where you can have breakfast with a view over the roofs of the city. Unfortunately, there is a pigeons plage. As soon as one left something from the small breakfast buffet to get, the pigeons on the table was, if no one else to sit. A bit annoying, if you have a roll had performed. A network on the terrace, the view would reduce only minimal. Or find another solution, finally, Italians are the songbirds so dear ;-(
The selection at the breakfast buffet was appropriate for the size of the room, in other words mini. Rolls, fresh and from yesterday, toast, ham and cream cheese. Furthermore, some sweet parts and cereal. Fruit there were sometimes, but not always. Otherwise, butter, jam, honey and yogurt.
Coffee and juice came from machines, with appropriate crowd before the devices.
At check-out we were handed the bill a short reference to the recently existing city tax of three euros per person per night. No demand, as we liked it, no 'Arrivederci' , nothing.
Conclusion: apart from the central location and the cleanliness of the room is not really for the hotel.
