Our most enjoyable Christmas.
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A Awelcoming, friendly and helpful staff, family run and cosy atmosphere.
Always looked forward to our meals - both the extensive breakfast ( smoked salmon, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, etc ) and the delicious evening meals.
Good wellness facilities, pool, sauna, etc.
Free local bus and lift passes.
English spoken and especially welcome.
We will definately be back soon and so will our friends.
Location
Lots of coffee and cake shops !! Good sized town.
Many places to visit by train within one hour - Lindau, Wangen, Kempton and
of course, Oberstdorf.
Oberstaufen itself is only 2 hours by train from Munich and you can buy a special all day train ticket for about 30 € for up to 5 people - great value !!
Hope you enjoy the Tyrol as much as we do.
The 4 family members seem to be always on duty and yet you are greeted like their special friends.
Rooms excellent and clean.
Gastronomy
Great variety and delicious. On the breakfast buffet, there was fresh fruit - mellon, pineapple, etc and you could order various eggs, bacon, etc.
All was served with lots of coffee, etc and a smile !
Sport & Entertainment
Beautiful pool, sauna, lots of towels and loungers plus a quiet area just perfect for relaxing, reading or taking 40 winks at the end of the day.
Room
good sized bathroom and beautiful balcony - beds very comfortable.
Tips and recommendations
Good value for money. Both our mobile phones worked. The family made our Christmas very special this year. Lots of snow.
We also stayed for one week in July and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding area.
