Crans-Montana actually consists of three towns which are Crans, Montana and Aminona. It is a very popular and known skiing resort and is known for its unique slopes. When in Crans-Montana you can go up to the “Glacier 3000” and ski all the way down which is a long enjoyable slope, or even try out the international slope where races sometimes are held. Crans-montana is also known for its golf course and holds international golf competitions during the summer. The area is also home to many celebrities. It is tradition for some to enjoy a Swiss fondue after a day of skiing. The people in Crans-Montana are very friendly and peaceful; most Swiss people are also very patriotic about their country. They enjoy having a good time either by skiing or going into some local clubs at night.
Getting around
By bus
In Crans-Montana there is a local bus service which rotates around the three different towns making everything very accessible. It is also possible to work around everywhere as most things lie very close.
By plane
When going to Crans-Montana the closest airport is Geneva airport which receives a great number of international flights on a daily basis. From there it is possible to rent a car which should be ordered in advance or to take the train to Sion and from Sion train station take a train going up to Crans-Montana.

Sights
The main sight worth seeing is the view on top of the Mountain, and it is highly recommendable to go to the peak of the glacier 300 as the view there is breathtaking. On some days you can even see the Matterhorn and many other parts of the Alps too.
Events
In Crans-Montana you can experience a music festival called “Caprices Festival”. There are a few other events going on which should be checked at the events calendar on arrival.
Food
The food in Crans-Montana is very typical Swiss food therefore some specialties include cheese fondue, Raclete, Rösti and a variety of different local cheese sorts.
