The history in the area focuses on the establishment of becoming a famous fishing area and having been home to many different people of diverse nations in the past. As time passed, Luis Coppola put up one of the first hotels at the end of the cape, and soon the hotel resort grew. Cabo San Lucas is known for its wild nightlife, good restaurants and bars, water sports and fishing and relaxing at the beach. The Medano Beach is the safest swimming area in Cabo. Local merchants are prohibited to entering the beaches and selling items to tourists, however if they do they should be respectfully told to leave with a “no gracias”. It is custom to take water taxis to enter snorkeling areas. The main traditions in Cabo San Lucas are to go fishing or to go whale watching.

By bus
The public transport In Cabo San Lucas is somewhat dangerous. One can travel via buses and metro however robberies can occur on these, therefore it is recommended to always travel first class and only during the day and take special care of belongings.
By plane
Cabo San Lucas has its own airport “Los Cabos International Airport” which receives domestic and international flights daily. It is possible and also recommended to rent a car at the airport directly. There are also busses and shuffles from and to the airport, however as the buses are not too safe in the region it is highly recommended to rent a car.
By taxi
When taking a taxi in Cabo San Lucas it is recommended to the travelers safety, not to take taxis which haven’t been ordered. Therefore one should order taxis at the hotel resort directly.
