This Camp gound lies between Toblach and Cortina d'Ampezzo and is perfect if you're hiking or rock climbing in that area. The sanitary building is locked up like a high security safe, but bathrooms and toilets are well heated, spacious and clean. The water can't be regulated, so for some who likes it burning hot, might get disappointed. And if you love showering for a longer time, be prepared when the lights go off while you're still in the shower and darkness surrounds you. There's no motion detector to get the lights on again, which means you will have to ... get out of your shower cabin, walk six steps to the switch to get the lights on again. Now, imagine a senior doing that. This is absolutely dangerous! The cleanliness is fine, I did not discover any fungus growth or moldy corners in the showers like my previous reviewers had mentioned. We had to choose our pitch before entering the campgrounds with the car. The pitch was narrow, the driveway too, and it wasn't clear where the font was for getting fresh water, so everyone was running to the sanitary building to get bottles of water. I couldn't quite understand why the electrical sockets where locked and needed to be personally fixed in by the owner. You can definately imagine how it was in the morning, when everyone wanted to leave, and he was juggling the time to get the bill done and running to all those pitches who wanted thier electrical cables disconnected. OK, maybe this was a bad day for him. The view to the lake compensated a little for all the pain, but in the morning, I was abruptly woken by the rumbling of the cars crossing the one and only wooden bridge to the camp grounds. The restaurant "Seeschupe" in the camp ground has good food. The steaks were good, the fresh trouts were fantastic. Reservations for a table should be made in the evenings. The price for the camp ground was too high for my taste, even with an ACSI advantage. Expected definately better quality for this. read hotel review
