The vacation was great. The staff nice, friendly, attentive, not intrusive but tip from. My room and the balcony were clean and ok. The whole hotel area was although already somewhat older, but in a good, well maintained condition, clean and tidy. The drinks were okay and at the lobby bar and bar on the 9. floor very good. This hotel belongs to the gran caribe group, which under only cuban management run. The manager has confessed a monthly income of about circa 25 Euro. One must know that, for subsequent better able to understand. The hotel main building itself and the whole related facilitities are architecturally cleverly thought out and designed. Who in Varadero a classic cubanisches hotel with history, friendly staff, attractive hotel, perfect beach and to the town (5 minutes) are looking for, is available in the gran caribe Villa Cuba resort just right. We will definitely come back! Like everywhere in the world, the one or the other are hotels with better or worse price-performance ratio is. I would recommend it. Rooms are clean and big enough. Had a villa in the direction of the beach with own pool. Food was my opinion more variety. Staff very nice. On a scale of one to ten a eight ;-) read hotel review

Never again! If you treat the staff with the feast to see, but you didn't have more space in the dining room and if a room are offered, in which i was not even my ärgensten enemy would, then i can only say: under all would! Not worth a cent! read hotel review

The hotel you can only pull off. There is nothing even repaired. A lift since two years ago. Elevators on days, until a serviceunternehmen comes. Older guests must stairs up to the example 6. floor. Ceiling tiles were loose. The east wing has been waiting two years for a renovation of the rooms. The villas are for years not been renovated. Many with mold infested. The pool by the villas are already not refilled. Mainly canadians, at the pool bar rumrandalieren, mainly from 02:00 a. m. until the early morning. The hotel's security service will, or can not prevail. ... Hotel management did nothing about it. German were hardly there, as the food is a disaster, and the condition desolat is.     Mariposa = good ; Bamboo= bad; el sitio = bad Las dalias (dining room, buffet) = bad, selection of food left a lot to be desired. 3 weeks fungal-and-cream soup, 3 weeks in addition alternately either chicken/vegetable soup. 1 sometimes there was black bean soup (national). Only two open barbeque platter with only one chef manned (long queue). For noodles saute a chef with not appetizing pans. Food luke warm. Despite peak season and thus higher price little staff. Tables were not cleared quickly and newly set again. 1 even table cleared and set. Dining room dirty. Down at the floor-to-ceiling windows of bird droppings. In the 3 weeks not removed. Bars okay. Beer was it only at the pool bar, beach bar and roofbar in 9. floor. At the lobby bar was no beer. Toilets lobby/lobby bar is a disaster.

We are with scepticism to this hotel gone because of various reviews on the internet. But we were very surprised what we found. For us it was a great vacation and we will go to this hotel again. It was from the morning until the evening always cleaned on every corner. Unfortunately the tourists at the beach very lazy, time and the plastic cup into the trash bin, but keep everything at the beach are. So it was by the pool, everything is left. The behavior of the canadians leaves much to be desired. Are very noisy and behave next ... to it. Of decency no trace. We had a room at the back the don quixote restaurant and the was very quiet and nice. The rooms are renovated and big. The staff is also always cooperative. If you have a shower gel or similar wasted has, you have been very pleased. We only have good experience with the staff made. They were always nice and not only then if we tipped. You shouldn't forget the Cuba a poor country and the people 20,- Euro earn in a month. The motivation is not the greatest, is understandable, but they put in the effort. With the attitude of the canadians would also relatively quickly the collar burst. We once had to move, since our canadian neighbors could no longer bear. In the absolute dilirium state of intoxication and drugs-this even the balcony furniture from the balcony in the garden tossed. We called front desk, there was a security and care. We then in the morning got an other room, because we in this room no longer want to stay. As mentioned, the attitude of the canadians for us was shocking. Thank god we were in the low season, the rather quiet and the hotel also only 1 third was occupied. Thus we could a very quiet vacation experience. Many tourists came from the neighboring hotel in Villa Cuba. This told us of terrible food and mold in rooms. This we had in the hotel not. We also saw rooms in the front part looked at. These were piecemeal painted and renovated. Conclusion the food is the only fault, what we have to report. It's not seasoned and lukewarm. Noisy guide we knew the cubans it not differently and lukewarm food and the spices were missing. However it was clean and we had for every meal time fresh napkins and tablecloths. I don't know, where dirty tablecloths to find. Perhaps at the end of the meal time. We were always at 20 o'clock food and everything was okay. The animation was good as well. Always funny games by the pool, dancing classes or beach volleyball. Really good. Some have on the cuban music at the beach feel disturbed. We pleasant and nice thought. This ran from 10 to 13 o'clock. Sometimes in the afternoon but rather rare. Cuba is worth a trip and we are also drove, to Havanna and Matanzas, us country and people looked at. What all of us should be doing, because we live in abundance and moaning about much. The cubans live in a communist regime, get food only after bons and it was missing at all basic things. We had a renovated room and were totally satisfied. The excursions Trinidad and Havanna overnight were great excellent! The food is unfortunately luke warm (in buffet almost always so), but with the you have to live. Apart from that it was delicious. Everywhere there was clean and it was always cleaned. In Cuba the everything a bit slower made ☺! The topic tip-you have none-but in between (not every day) a few cuc do not hurt. However even without giving any tip one gets gleichschnell his drinks. So all i can say, Cuba is wonderful and we would book this ... hotel again. Ps: the best of all is however the great blue sea and the snow white beach! read hotel review

We had a room the pool side, very noisy at night by the krölenden canadians. In the bathroom after a couple of days water from the ceiling leaked, was more and more, have at the front desk informed, was also there was someone, but nothing, well one sits not the whole day in the bathroom. Besides that hotel ok except for the animation at the pool you will get a gehörschaden very loud. Great beach just too few umbrellas, it would be clean, even when the vacationers your cups in the bin would throw, but it was cleaned every morning. ... Food in the hotel was great only mostly lukewarm, is however on Cuba sunday You have to keep in mind, you're not in Germany where everything always clean and was ok, we had a great vacation even if the weather not always caribbean was. read hotel review

The hotel has 365 rooms. We had a renovated receive. Bathroom newly tiled, with new bath etc. In the living area also some was renewed. Screen tv etc. Have a balcony facing the garden had. Therefore quite quiet. Not recommendable are the rooms with view to the pool. Very noisy. Should someone not renovated room receive, not with the front desk negotiate (you always says you would be fully booked), but to the tour guide (was daily locally) and you get a better room. Cleanliness in the room always super and very early cleaned. Had booked all inclusive. Alcoholic beverages ... from 07:00 until 02:00 a. m., Non-alcoholic and snacks around the hour.     There was a buffet restaurant and 3 à la carte restaurants. All have 3 à la carte restaurant try it. All super, must be reserved. There are several bars. In the panorama bar you can view over the complex and the sea enjoy (is located in the 9. floor at the top in the hotel) and there was the most delicious cocktails. Also in the lobby bar were the cocktails very good. At of the pool bar and the beach bar these were only moderately good and not really recommendable. The kitchen style was typical of the country. But it was always something freshly grilled (fish, pork, and so on.). One had however always found something, even if it only at the noodle bar was. Coffee is in the restaurant not recommendable. Then rather on the coffee bar in the lobby. Very lots of different coffees with rum or liqueur. In the main building there were very many comfortable seating areas. There was also an internet corner. But the attempt took very long (up to 10 minutes for the Google-side).

    We are equipped with air -France flown. This landing in Havanna. Transfer time about 2.5 h to the hotel. Beach is in 2-3 minutes, depending on the room. The villa rooms were closer at the beach. Hotel lies a little out of the way from the center. The center is in about 10 minutes walking distance. In the hotel there are several shops, but above the usual level. Opposite from the hotel there are a restaurant. Direct from the hotel runs the Varadero-bus, with the you for $5 cuc the whole day over the peninsula to drive can. You can at beliuebigen places to step out and with the next bus drive on.

    Very friendly staff. With english one can inform oneself well. A few employees also spoke german. Room cleaning was always super. Until at least 10:00 a. m. was our room always cleaned.

    The pool was always very clean. But we didn't use it, the beautiful beach for the hotel. It is the best in Varadero his. Beach chairs were sufficiently available. Nevertheless the shadow spots were at the beach and at the pool absolutely inadequate.

    Food in the hotel is unfortunately very modest. Apart from the fact that there almost always cold, will really badly cooked. You have to very nice search, so that one always something decent at the buffet can put together. Quality and offer change in the lockstep. Atmosphere is in the main restaurant as in a large cafeteria, probably 20 years nothing changed. In spite of the 'kubanischen' conditions and opportunities this is much too few. Better one goes outward to meals. There are considerably more trouble.

    Beach directly at the hotel. Exceptionally beautiful. Airport approximately 30 minutes away but no aircraft noise. Town center in 20 minutes on foot distance and plenty of taxis on the streets. Restaurant el rancho recommended. Bar 'calle 62' and beatles bar also recommended. Otherwise not much going on. At 2-3 days in the week the cueva de la pirata.

    We only the entertainment at the beach received. The usual for example coconut throw or beach volleyball and especially loud animationslalle. Beach chairs were from 11 hours all occupied at the beach and umbrellas are too few! Disco always empty and for children probably nothing available except a small wading pools. table tennis and billiards are in good condition.

Nice hotel, but under this cuban hotel chain suffered! The complex is really nice and located directly at the beach. Our room in the main building, range 2, was large, had view of the sea and times nicely furnished. It was also daily cleaned properly. That was the best that i could report. The bathroom from the room is such outdated, that our bathroom at home as 5 star -room-bathroom easily goes through. Rusty mirror, leaky toilet, dirty bath tub, sink drain without screen etc. Of two lifts on our side, was the whole time on only one operational. The ... treppenhausgeländer is many places loose. On the 7. floor!, opposite the room 2710 was the flurgeländer so broken, that a lean with the body was not possible. Behind a depth of 8a 10 meters. These were the worst shortcomings which we will be charged the front desk reported. Up to our check out, 10 days later, nothing happened. There was not even a barrier or clues after the kind of 'caution' or ' except business' etc. The lack in Cuba are to be expected, is as now 9 malige kubaurlauber know. But these are after our last vacation in the year 2009 in the same hotel still more frequently and worse. It is in many places only temporarily repaired, instead of new to renovate. The food was, except the buchungsrestaurant' sitio ' in the evening, average to poor. The gastronomical staff looks motivated, is however disorganized. In buchungsrestaurant' mariposo' were all the guests generously ignored, of which no or only little trinkkgeld was to be expected. Total hits statement 'all inclusive' not too. It should rather hot ' all drinks free '. Various essensauslagen at the buffet were only available, until a guest the last remainder extracted.
