The hotel did not meet our expectations as a 5 star hotel, looks like 3, maybe 4 nor in tefms of facilities and food, nor in terms of service. Our holidays at Red sea in Egypt at 5 star places were at least 2 times cheaper. read hotel review

    The hotel offers good family rooms, not large but very ergonomic, however for a 5 star place you would expect to have both shower cabin and bath tub for 4 people, we had only shower

    No lunch buffet is available, the chef seem to be liking to mix everything up so often we were leaving the dinner being hungry. There was no good celebration dinner on Orthodox Christmas Eve.

    Aqaba is a well marketed place, in reality a very small town, quite dirty and with no infrastructure, we could not find a contemporary and clean supermarket, for example. Taxis are mostly very old and dangerous, traffic rules are not observed by drivers. The hotel is 20 minutes drive from the town and it is quite expensive to get there

    It is quite a custom for sfaff to promise something and not to come back, it happened to us at least 3 times, although most of the staff were very friendly. There are some very good staff members at the beach and in the spa.

If anything, they should warm up the pool and jacuzzi - they say the water is hot...i would say it is less cold then the rest, but by no means hot! For an outside pool/jacuzzi it should be much hotter. ALL the rest is perfect! read hotel review

On Monday, we went on the much waited trip to Petra, which was beautiful, but also meant waking up at 5 am. After a nice and exhausting day there and dinner at the main restaurant, we were going to bed at 10 pm. But this is what we got: Extremely loud music, the bass pounding so hard we could feel it, and my fiancé, who wears ear plugs while sleeping, could even hear the music. Of course we went our way of calling the guest service centre and asking them to put the music down (this was a little after ... 10 pm), which they promised to do and also told us that the music would stop entirely at 11pm. Well the music didn't go down, and we called again, again the promise to put it down, but nothing happened. At that point we were getting angry for not being able to go to bed and for not getting any results, even though the promises. Even though this was so outrageous from a five-star hotel, we still waited till 11 pm, when the music was supposed to stop. At 11 pm: Music goes on even louder. At that point my fiancé got up, put his clothes on and went to the reception to speak to the manager. The attitude he got, was very poor: No there's nothing we can do, this is the annual party for the EMPLOYEES, the music will stop at midnight. Well needless to say, how angry and disappointed we were after that. Then we got a call from the duty manager to our room, where he offered as compensation a late checkout. My fiancé told him it wasn't enough and hung up. The music went even louder again (I could have even sung along, it was so loud, I recognized the words: Life is life, nana nanana.), and my fiancé went out again to speak to the manager. He met the night manager at the yard and only got the worst attitude of him: I asked the man at the reception to send my "nice attitude to deal with your customers" message to the night manager, who almost like attacked me at the yard. I explained the situation again and he couldn't care less. After that I started walking towards my room and he said "have a good night" in a very mocking way. Even the next day, when we spoke to the duty manager again about not being happy at all to the events of the night before, all we got was the attitude: We offered you a late check out and you were fine with it. This was an utter lie and the late checkout anyway ridiculous, since we would be leaving around noon for our flight. After telling him, we were still not happy, he told us, we could get a 15% discount for their spa, which we already had gotten before any problems had arisen (so the discount was obviously meant for everyone!). That's all, he wouldn't give us anything else as compensation! read hotel review
