Each suite has ensuite facilities and either super-king size double or king single twin beds. Complimentary bathrobes and toiletries. All of our guest suites open out onto expansive decks and all are equipped with complimentary high speed internet connection, TV and DVD. Kauri Point is framed by Mt Tauhara to the north and Lake Taupo to the south. With beautiful gardens, dramatic birdsong, and warm-hearted service, Kauri Point provides you with a spectacular haven from the outside world. Kauri Point offers luxury accommodation in a personalised, friendly atmosphere surrounded by refreshing nature. Our  breakfasts are served in an open lodge setting, the ideal start to whatever you have planned for your day ahead. Our generous facilities allow us to look after you in every way with a relaxed style and informal comfort.We offer a sophisticated choice of international style accommodation blended with a unique New Zealand flair and hospitality that turns casual guests into long time friends. Arrival by helicopter onto the grounds is permitted. Kauri Point is our home and we live on site.  We have 2 English Springer Spaniels and a cat - they are all very friendly and will not enter your rooms uninvited!!!!! Check-in time is generally between 3pm & 6pm but we are very flexible.  Please contact us by email prior to your arrival to let us know roughly when to expect you.  We would appreciate it if guests could chech-in prior to going into town for dinner - we will give to a key so that you may return at your leisure. If you have any questions about kauri Point or the Taupo area feel free to contact us - we are more than happy to help.  If you are travelling from abroad and do not know the area you may wish to use Taupo as a base for a few days - Napier 135kms, Rotorua 90kms, Hamilton & Waitomo district 170kms, Tongariro National Park and crossing about 1 hour plus all the local things to do!!!!!
