The 7 kilometre-long fine sand beach can be reached by descending a flight of stairs and it is 1 km to the centre of Alvor, which features countless shopping and entertainment venues and to which there is a regular bus service. It is well worth paying a visit to Portimao that lies about 5 km away; Faro international airport is about 70 km away.

  This luxury hotel was completely renovated in 2003 and comprises 2 buildings with 2 and 6 floors and a total of 195 rooms including 178 double rooms and 19 suites. Guests have access to a vast 30,000-m² pool and garden complex, a spacious foyer with lifts, hire safes, a currency exchange facility and a 24-hour reception desk.
