Hotel Beethoven Rheingasse (does not exist any more)^{(3 stars)}

A terrible experience of this hotel. We chose this hotel on a business trip on. The location is excellent and very Central, but that's all what a positive rating. Already at the check in late in the evening, ordered a double, a twin room was only reserved. The second bed was not changed, only the towels were available and a porter overtaxed, which was also uncalled-for, as I have a date early in Hotel Management called. Beethoven had turned the tomb, if he knew, that such a house bears his name! How can you today a hotel with a clear conscience policy? Personally, I have felt ashamed at the foreign guests from Japan, Russia etc. for this standard in the former capital. Never thought, that as a place to stay in Germany deserved three stars. Good location, right on the Rhine promenade can justify the three stars. The carpet in the entire hotel including dining-room and rooms is disgusting. I was welcomed by a friendly, but drunk tranquil Porter. My room was very small and very dirty. Hair from the previous guest were in the bathroom and the view of my room was limited to bins and not the promised views over the river Rhine. The breakfast was okay, but the selection was very limited. It was very noisy at night due to road noise, so it was not a suitable place to relax.
