Enjoyed Lauterbrunnen very much. Issues: Sheets for bed would be nice. Clock somewhere in room would be helpful. Hooks in bathroom for clothes would have been helpful. More than one outlet would have been helpful. Placing TV where it could be viewed from bed or chair would have been more convenient. Restaurant food was good. Staff was nice and helpful. read hotel review

Nice, well-maintained hotel in a good setting. Furnishings are nice solid wood. Big room with balcony. Hotel is closed and locked except when staff are there. You have to sit outside in the cold and wait for them to arrive at 1600 if you haven't checked in yet. read hotel review

The food was good and the service was pleasant and efficient. But once again, after I paid for a full meal with some wine I asked for a simple glass of water and was charged 2 Francs for it. This was winter in the Swiss Alps and there was plenty of water available. This was just petty and greedy. Instead of appreciating my business they tried to get a couple more Francs. Breakfast costs 20 Swiss Francs which is almost twice as much as the other hotels in Switzerland and Austria that I stayed in. I did not try it for that price.

The live music was very good and there are quiet roads to walk on up the valley.

Staff tried to be friendly and did their jobs well. But I think that the owner's priority is to make extra Francs wherever possible, rather than treat guests as guests. Employees were sternly corrected in public. I paid for a two person room so I could have a balcony and view. On the second day my second pillow was removed. I asked for a replacement and was told that it would cost 5 Swiss Francs. I was paying over 1200 Swiss Francs for a week for a two person room and when I pointed that I was grudgingly given a second pillow, as if it cost them more for me to have two pillows. Very petty and rude.

  • Room

The room was large and furnished well. But removing the second set of towels and the pillow was very petty. I was told that I could not eat in the room. That is just ridiculous. I travel internationally for my work and I have never been told that before. In fact, this was the most strained and oddest hotel stay I have ever experienced. It seems I did something to annoy the owner or maybe it was just a bad season and they were stressed, I don't know. But since I was one of the few guests and paying for a two person room for a week, it seems like they would at least appreciate my business. Instead I was treated as a nuisance or a bad employee who needed to be scolded.

Much too small, too expensive. Lauterbrunnen has better places to stay. The rooms are renovated. Battery would be for the bathroom a compliment. The area is the ideal starting point for skiing in the jungfrau region, read hotel review

Nice, relatively inexpensive hotel in lauterbrunnen, quite close to the train station, at the valley station of the schilthornbahn cable car and especially right on the end of the ski slope from Schilthorn. Very nice staff! read hotel review

Classic swiss chalet-style hotel. The room was very spacious and very tidy. Also the bathroom was good (shower) and toilet very clean. There was a balcony and we had the view to the front of the hotel on the mountains. We were over new year's eve in the hotel and the evening entertainment with swiss music, as well as the food were very suitable. The service with the food in the restaurant was good and courteous. The hotel is ideally located to every day to make excursions. In terms of value for money we were very satisfied. We were very ... satisfied and would gladly come again. read hotel review
