We arrived as strangers and left as friends. The location of the hotel on a Nile-island is fantastic. We felt like we were in paradise. The staff cared about each individual guest. Here we found the recuperation from the stress of everyday life. If sometimes was not, as it should be, was quickly made sure to remedy the problem. The hotel had chosen the local evaluations. In hindsight I due to the age of the average users clear, why the hotel favorably. For me the whole had the Charme of seventies's-Bunkers. I needed a stop-over but only opportunity, as that wasn't't crucial. For long term tourists with 'optical' expectations I can not recommend it. Conclusion: functional. …  read hotel review

Amazing hotel. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool by the Nil, the silent, and the fact that the entire island, on the Nil, is dedicated to the hotel, with a beautiful garden. We will be back as soon as possible. read hotel review

After having experienced wonderful, leisurely vacations in hotel “Pyramisa Isis Island” (Aswan) in 2012 and 2013, this year we will visit our favourite hotel in Egypt once again: Februari 12th to March 5th. The four-star hotel rating doesn't even begin to do justice to this resort. The kindness and service of the crew - whether it’s the kitchen staff, the waiters or the pool boys - is simply extraordinary: five-star worthy! All this under the inspiring leadership of Mr. Fekri. He is always present on the floor and easily approachable to his guests. This makes him the real captain of ... this “ship” and his crew, even in difficult times. The fantastic climate in February/March, the beautiful garden and the quiet surroundings are exactly what we, young seniors, are looking for in a vacation. Also, the fact that the city of Aswan is only a fifteen minute ferry trip away from the resort is a big plus. All this combined, makes that we are eagerly looking forward to our upcoming visit JHM W The Netherlands read hotel review

I stayed with my wife at the Pyramisa Isis Island Hotel of Aswan from the 16th up to the 28th of March and I must say that it was delightful. The situation is very very quiet and it is convenient to relax and rest. For whose who want to be a bit more active, there plenty to discover as far as archeological sites are concerned. Pyramisa is a large hotel set on an island in the middle of the River Nile. Meals are usually taken in the main dining room although the management does use the outside terraces, with wonderful views to augment the good food. There is also an Arabian/Moorish restaurant which is occasionally used. Generally, the guests' nationalities are spread between Brits, Germans and Egyptians. We stay on a full board contract.     The staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful, even the gardeners who keep the grounds looking so beautiful greet you as you walk around. The bar and restaurant staff are charming, and so often we would realize that many are multi-lingual not "merely" bi-lingual. Mr Fekri, the manager, is always in evidence, my wife and I wonder if and when he sleeps! The rooms were kept in good order, and usually cleaned and dressed by the time we returned from an early breakfast. Laundry was fast and very well done, items sent in the morning would be returned latest next morning if not on the same day

    The hotel is situated on an island in the middle of the River Nile, absolutely idyllic. There are acres of gardens populated by a variety of birds, Nile Valley Sunbirds, herons, pied kingfishers, cattle egrets to name just a few. An hour away to the north is the temple of Kom Ombo, to the south Kalabshah, both available through the travel agents within the hotel. Luxor is best reached by air, as is Abu Simbal although if you can tolerate long drives both can be reached by road. There is a shopping precinct within the hotel and the prices pretty well match those in Aswan town souk

    There are tennis courts, a chip and putt type of golf course, and two swimming pools. There are plenty of sunbeds, there are showers, the pools are kept immaculately clean. There is free wifi internet access, a shopping precinct and travel agencies.

    There is one main restaurant but outside locations are often used plus the Arabian restaurant within the grounds. The cuisine in generally European, but there is the choice of Egyptian food. All meals are buffet style, although at breakfast there is a fry-up facility where the chefs produce to order. An assortment of breads, augmented by a selection of jams and honey. Lunch and dinner, in addition to the buffet has a pasta station where your choice is put together while you wait, as with the breakfast. Coffee sachets and tea bags are on each table. Cleanliness and quality are excellent.

    We occupied a room facing west, with a double bed. Most rooms have, apparently, twin beds but doubles are available. We have always found in whichever room we have occupied over the years, a safe, tea and coffee making equipment a phone, balcony all the usual and expected facilities. Quite honestly, the rooms are showing their age and need some TLC but they are no less comfortable for that and they are kept very clean

As touroperators in my country stopped charter flights to Luxor, I took Egypt Air international and domestic flights. These connections are o.k. and according to all time schedules. Upper Egypt is SAFE! I visit this part of Egypt for 35 years and twice a year. The manager of the hotel said to me: "Welcome in your second home." In the hotel many guests from Egypt, England and repetitive Germans, I know many of them bij name and face. They all return once or twice a year!! I visited some markets down town and there was no problem at ... all. Of course I enjoyed nature, birds and gardens of the hotel Isis Island. Of course I hope that the situation in Egypt will change for the better, so there will be more charter flights and tourists in Upper Egypt = Luxor + Aswan. My next stay here will be in October or November this year. read hotel review
