My girlfriend and i were for new year's 2012/2013 in Mailand and have this hotel because of its location selected. About the location is to only say very good. Direct metro and tram service to hakecher hof on the doorstep. The hautbahnhof milano central is within walking distance as well as easy to reach as the milan city center. The cathedral is about 10-15 minutes on foot. Hotel as far as fully recommendable besides the breakfast... This is no way a 4 star hotel. Very limited choice... The breakfast service to the room use. The hotel seemed until recently another hotel chain to belong to. We booked through the internet a relatively cheap double room, which was not yet renovated. For city breaks well-suited hotel, traffic connection with the metro and streetcar very well. Close to the hotel hardly any possibility to get away, price for drinks in the hotel very high ( beer 6 €). Breakfast room in the peak full, particularly negative the supply of coffee (1 machine sometimes broken, in front of the other long queue, some have therefore on coffee declined. The hotel has a privileged location, a few metres from the Central Railway Station and very close to downtown and the most exclusive shopping streets, in an area very well connected by public transportation. Sforza Castle, as well as the famous opera house of La Scala are about 2.5 km and 4 km from the hotel respectively.
Facilities
The hotel has 282 comfortable and finely furnished rooms. Facilities include an air conditioned foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a lift in addition to a breakfast room, a conference room and WLAN Internet access. Pianoterra bar and restaurant is a welcoming, multipurpose space.

How to get there
By train: The hotel is just 800 m from Milan Central Station. From the station guests can reach the hotel on foot or take the yellow underground line in the direction of S. Donato. The stop is called Repubblica. From Malpensa Airport(50 km): take either a taxi or the Milan Express to Central station. Linate Airport (15 km): Drive down Viale Forlanini until the end where Piazza Cinque Giornate is. Here guests should turn right on to Via Bianca Maria, and continue until the end of this road, Bastioni di Porta Venezia. Then they will reach Piazza della Repubblica where they should turn left and left again on to Via Tarchetti.
