On arrival we were greeted warmly and our luggage to the room. Since the first room in the bathroom from the ceiling detropft has, we were right by the bellboys in a new room (after short gladly umchecken at the reception). Since the country is very poor and all little deserve, all want to tip. Noisy guide the kofferjungen 50 Rupees per bag soutenant, the bellboy you should 350 Rupees per week. The hotel has 88 rooms on three floors, all with sea views. The grounds are nice and big. The condition of the hotel is partly a bit worn ..., but when we were there the walls was painted and the handrails on stairs renewed. Cleanliness was normal. There was free wi-fi in the entire hotel, also in the rooms and on the beach. We had all inclusive. And breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as soft drink inclusive. The guest structure was mixed, many russians, some europeans, some german. The ages were many mittelaltrige 40-50 years, but of course also some younger and older. read hotel review

    There are two pools, a smaller pool at the front desk and a larger one with a children's pool. Both pools have a bar, but only with the larger pool usually someone there. The pools were very cloudy. A pool was apparently while we were there cleaned or changed the water, as it suddenly totally clean and clear was. Showers, couches and editions were there with two pools and on the beach. Umbrellas each day are redistributed. The beach is wonderful, only the water you can not always, since the the waves is very strong.

    The staff were always friendly, the foreign language skills was ok, english was mostly spoken, partly was also german understood. We were satisfied with the room cleaning, it gave to each day new towels and also the two cockroaches, which had visited, have been removed. Drinks were also than all-inclusive guest only with an indication of the room number and signature. If one evening in the restaurant not served and then to the bar at the reception was one could only wait, until all guests paying your cocktails and then only served, this is very nervit, as all-inclusive guest already before for his drinks paid. The large glasses were then for the cocktails and you got the Cola partly a 0.1 litre sektglas and had then three times instead and sign to 0.3 liter to come.

    The rooms are with a double bed and a seating area, towel rack and luggage rack nice and big. A balcony or terrace, each room is equipped with a seating area. wlan, telephone (which we unfortunately not worked well and also after complaint not was changed), mini bar, kettle, closet, safe and tv (didn't work) were available. The only negative was, that we had two cockroaches in the room, which in Sri Lanka flies and so about 5 centimeter large. There were no measures against mosquitos/flies met, these we were from a 3 star hotel in kalutara used. The bathroom was cramped, but a large shower, a hair dryer was also available. We were satisfied with the room cleaning, there was usually daily two small 20 millilitre shampoos.

    The hotel is right on the beach, the beach chairs are available on the beautiful gardens of the hotel. Distance to the airport is on the highway about 2.5 hours, we are return with a private transfer with the risks. Some other guests have said, that there is a coastal road, if you other hotels and the ride takes about 4 hours. With the {ent_transport_19852} the next town koggala for shopping, diving etc. in about 10 minutes for about 3 Euro per ride.

    There is a restaurant, where all food instead. An à-la-carte-restaurant there was also, this costs however. Quality of the food was good, it was always quickly refilled and it was clean in the restaurant. There were always curry and rice and otherwise salad and international cuisine, partly theme nights. There are beverages as all-inclusive. In addition, you have to but for the service were, what the drinks and refilled also not necessarily. It came a little more than you would had overlooked, since one for the drinks already had paid.

I recommend immediately upon arrival a small amount of money (about 2 Euro per day) in small bills to change. This opens the heart of the very friendly staff. Then you need not's further to take care of it. Whether room boy, beach boy, the waiters and the cooks serves the needs of the primary goal.! The beach is fantastic, fine sand, very wide and huge in the length, i still haven't better experienced. Caution is at high waves was offered, we had 2.5-3 meters high waves. This hotel was up to now worst hotel we have stayed in. Since we have no excessive demands could we our vacation still just enjoy. Cleanliness is an unknown to the staff here, tables and table coverage will only be dusted, a wet cloth there are apparently not. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But the management was not in the location the local standard the guests to adapt. Unfortunately the beach is not for swimming because of high waves.     Transfer to the hotel, the motorway takes 3 hours. In front of the hotel there is little. If you walk out of the hotel the left after about 1 kilometer some small shops. Right was a restaurant and further banks and kiosk.

    Food is average, starved nobody. Drinks are overpriced. A half beer costs 440 Rupees. Dinner is offered from half past 8a half 10 we went however only at around half nine, if the russians/ukrainians (95%) their büfettschlacht behind itself had.

    Room sufficient with a safety box. Tv with only one german program (Deutsche Welle). Bathroom also adequate, smells but always musty, because the shower no syphon has. Cleanliness after local - standard. Ground floor is best, as you have the change to find a beach chair.

    Friendliness is up to a degree but if you want something or something rejects, it spreads. We were firstly, a room that was not cleaned, beds were stained etc. for us unacceptable, but it is still acceptable.

Stay away from Long Beach Resort. We can't understand how FTI such a dirty unfriendly hotel in the program can take. Staff incompetent, unfriendly one is from the first day kidded greetings to mr, samantha. Food is monotonous hardly a change. Waiters are with the simplest tasks overwhelmed for drinks you had to wait forever (never enough cutlery and everything always dirty) as all-inclusive customer is man like man 3 - ter class. Only paying customers from Russia are preferentially treated. Rooms are worn furniture is outdated musty smell and dirty. Beach is beautiful, not enough beach chairs for all ... - the sea was because of the high waves unsuitable for swimming (lethal) the pools are still dirty _während you can swim, chlorine purely tilted - just disaster stay away from Long Beach Resort this was the worst in 20 years experienced. read hotel review

The hotel is actually ok. A little renovation. But it is at all corners deleted, repaired, and, and, and. Very friendly staff, very good food (although not very varied) and a fantastic location on the most beautiful beach of sri lanka. If it weren't for the excess of russians and europeans would be! They can't behave. This is again operated, no matter where you are going on holiday. We have tried, which from the way to go we could use the two other hotels on the beach with use: koggala beach and club koggala. Hotel is a bit off the ... beaten track, but with Tuk-tuk that takes you everywhere at reasonable prices. We booked our excursions through ' chammy' from Germany booked, because of the good references! And we absolutely not disappointed. Organisation was perfect! We can 100% further recommend: www.
