The puerto palace is a classic hotel, the to our holiday (at the end of march 2013) to 90% guests from 50 + was occupied. During our stay was the relatively large hotel area was completely booked out, which for the hotel speaks. However the hotel is because of its classic style and refined atmosphere for couples, the wanted to experience something, not convenient. A hotel which we because of the bad food not recommend would. Meals were all partly lukewarm to cold. Tomatoes always green. Par baked rolls in the morning. Sausage choice was very poor, partly already dry edges. Service was up to the hummercocktail, everything was cold. Who wants to cold salmon food. Great hotel, spacious pool area, absolutely friendly and competent staff. We can absolutely recommend this great hotel! Also the food was good. Our daughter suffers from gluten intolerance and we were recommended this hotel. Also here there was a special gluten-free menu for dinner for her every day, including soup and dessert. In the morning there was gluten-free bread and cookies. As she could get a lot of fruit, jam, salad etc. from the buffet, the culinary part of the vacation was super for our daughter and therefore for us. For us a great vacation. If we want to return ... to Tenerife, we will vacation there again. read hotel review

In May 2014, we stayed at the Puerto Palace hotel for a week. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Loro Parque. We were met with a very friendly reception at the front desk. Average guest age: 60+ read hotel review

    Quiet location. It's a 15 minute walk down to downtown, the way back to the hotel is significantly longer with it being uphill and must not be underestimated. We still liked the location very much.

    One thing that was negative was the food. The vegetables are completely overcooked and without character; the potatoes are mushy and floating in fat and even the noodles were not exactly 'al dente'. The meat, freshly fried, like a dry hockey puck. The pasta sauce was okay and so were the potatoes from the Canaries which we had every night. We had beef goulash once which wasn't bad. I can't say anything about the fish because i didn't have any. Breakfast was of a very similar quality. The bread rolls were hard. Jam, honey and chocolate creme were available in individually portioned containers. Here, too, some will like it, some won't. The cheese and cold meats were nothing to write home about. It's fair to say the food will fill your belly but that's the best you can say about it. On a positive note, though, the staff and also the cooks were very friendly. Since we believe that the below average food diminishes the hotel's quality, we have addressed this issue with our tour manager. This was very difficult for her to understand; she told us that she's never had complaints like that before but has only had praise for her good food. That was neither convincing nor believable!

    Of course, the hotel is a bit dated but still looks well-maintained and wins you over with its nicely set up pool area. To us, the water was a bit cold so we didn't use the pool. But you would have no trouble finding a lounge chair at the pool at any time of the day. But the hotel was also not fully booked.

    Good service, friendly and efficient. Communication went without a hitch even though I think that guests should not necessarily expect everyone to speak German!

    We had booked a double room with ocean view. Our room was on the second floor. The room was spacious and made a good, clean impression overall. The bathroom,too, had a good size and came equipped with toilet, bidet and bathtub. The shower curtain leaves much to be desired. A fixed shower wall would have been nicer. One positive for us was the fact that the hotel uses light blankets with cotton covers instead of those often seen wool blankets. They're very conducive to sleeping.

The hotel is located above puerto de cruz, on the hillside. In 10 minutes you are in the city and in 20 minutes to the Loro Park. Wi-fi is available free of charge in the hotel, but in a very poor connection. The hotel is beautifully maintained and everywhere grow beautiful flowers. The hotel is a family hotel (with children) but not recommended. The guest structure is predominantly ü60. We were with two children (baby/7 years) and the other guests felt very much in your ' totenruhe' bother us. read hotel review

    We had a great family rooms, with two separate bedrooms. The a room with a view of the Teide the other with sea view. The rooms are clean and very large with a large covered balcony. The maids have made a great job and the rooms cleaned very well.

    The staff at the reception and the cooks in the restaurant were very nice and friendly. The waiters were very unfriendly and sometimes ignored so we something did not even become to drink for dinner. The staff at the reception spoke very good german.

    The choice for breakfast was normal every other hotel just to sit. There was something for everyone and it tasted also very good. The dinner was a disaster. The food is the older guests adapted... Tin on... Warm... Finished. The food is very soggy, the meat tough and the poor fish totally dead roasted. Typical the food unfortunately not, sauerkraut, red cabbage, roasts, pizza, mushy potatoes and vegetables. Spices unfortunately nil return. The atmosphere was more like a cafeteria but that is in other hotels also sunday The drink prices were normal and not overpriced (if one beverages receives) unfortunately one must the drinks every day and these can be on the room write not let.

    We picked this hotel, because it is an indoor pool should be, but that was not the case. In the grounds there is a heated swimming pool, this' heated 'and not' heated ' in other words the hotelier decide when the heating is turned on. During our stay was unfortunately not the case; o (sauna and gym will 5 Euro on the day.

    The distance to the airport took about 90 minutes and the beach was 10 minutes. Unfortunately it is hardly possible to bathe in the sea since the red flag always waved. In the center you can beautiful shopping and many restaurants. Free hotelhuttlebus drove several times daily in the vicinity of the centre. The hotel was located on a very busy main road and the windows can noise unfortunately not swallow. In summer on the balcony to sit and undisturbed meet is unlikely to become.

Optically very well-kept area, room, garden and at the pool everything was in order, a focal point are at dusk the lit außenfahrstühle with changing lichtfarben. To the meal i must say that i am in previous reviews negative represented kitchen can't confirm, from the breakfast buffet to the dinner, we had half board, everything was good, fresh salads, plentiful delicious fish, meat, potatoes, fries, nudelaufläufe, fruit, ice cream etc. Live music every night, quaint assembly. The area is not noisy, from about 11:30 p. m. was sleep, as the horrible conditon at january, mostly older guests were in ... the hotel. Good on foot in about 20 minutes Plaza del Charco, with the taxi back is open about €3.50. praise i must at this point the staff especially at the front desk. A well organised hotel with efficient staff and a pleasant atmosphere, especially the beautiful pool landscape is incredible, although the supposedly heated pool 2 degrees more may have. The büfettcharakter in the restaurant the size of some hectic, the quality and the taste of the meals are average, with the favourable price performance ratio are also no culinary highlights expected. The trip was for us as a family very nice and well organized. The hotel has many points surprised. We felt very comfortable and would choose this hotel again. Especially pleasant is the bus, the free and every hour to town. In the forum we often read, that the food was not good. But we didn't so. There was always selection of freshly prepared fish and meat and side dishes were varied. We were surprised by the very nice german reception. We as a family with toddler (2 years) were always especially nicely received. The only thing, that we noticed ..., is the rent a car in the hotel. We wanted to rent a car for two days and the landlord had for us Renault Clio for 86 Euro! (quite goes cheaper) the first car had 190000 kilometer the 2. 170000 kilometer. The first was the gear shift broken and the steering spongy and 2. the tread fully funky. It has us very annoyed, as we pointed out to him had, that we have a good car need, because we Teide drive wanted and a toddler have! We have opposed both cars and after advice from our guidebook a car with cicar. Com and were absolutely satisfied. Car top (nearly new) and also still more cheaply. Garden and pools are really very nice. We were pleased with the room: cleanliness and good size. The breakfast did not please us. Little choice, canned fruit, tea and coffee from the automat. The dinner ranged in the quality, what pork, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut in a spanish hotel stayed, is mysterious. Disturbed by the noise from the busy street. read hotel review
