Very pleasant and friendly waiters. The front desk is even german-language occupied. Fast check-in and check-out. Thorough and unobtrusive housekeeping with turn-down service. Very nice service at of the lobby-bar, pleasant and attentive during dinner.
At the (hardly occupied) cibao bar are we unfortunately nearly 15 minutes been ignored, then but at least at the lobby bar our drink can.
Unfortunately they speak and understand some waiters of the breakfast service not a word of english, which the order difficult and therefore the right often only after several attempts at the table is served.

This hotel is an oasis in the middle of the old town Zona Colon. The furnishings is very, very tasteful... For me, a delight for all the senses. Santo Domingo, apart from that very sobering one in particular everywhere any trash. Not here in this area you can also quite safe as a woman alone move.

The hotel was our starting point for a Dominican Republic-Mini round trip. Excellent location in the middle of the historical Old Town close to the Pedestrian/shopping. Absolutely recommendable. Very nice architecture, excellent condition. The hotel offers its own Charme and style. I was in the colonial era ago and had all the amenities of the modern world. The staff was except for an evening visit to the bar, very accommodating and friendly. This evening we waited 90 minutes for our snack by the pool and despite repeated complaints, the snack didn't come on. This must not happen in this house and gave us the stay a bit troubled.
We spent only one night at the hotel, however, as we went further to a cruise.
