The quality of the food let us (moldy dessert, fermented tomato juice, tough meat, overcooked rice, hardly changing side dishes). The staff were very friendly. The whole property was in a bad state (broken doorhandles, in need of renovation terrace, extremely loud, old ice machine, the our sleep disturbed). Very friendly staff with very good english, no german speaking staff.Very small family-run hotel with lots of flair and a fantastic terrace and a nice bar. We were in the Falesia apartments approximately 200 meters of main building.With the breakfast one has a poor effort, it was but nevertheless typical really modest. We have mostly passed. Also we didn't go to the restaurant, there the prices in comparison to the 'locals' restaurants but rather exquisite were.Sea view in the main building you-as far as we have seen, only from the terrace. The breakfast was unfortunately rather unimaginative and without variations, the apartment, we have stayed in, was however spacious, was cleaned daily and was conveniently furnished, for us as a partially self provider great! Balcony and terrace invited to sunbathe and relaxation a. We didn't use the pool, because it us in the November but was a little chilly (average about 20 degrees celsius). Because of our stay in the spring we had 2 extension and a few own klemmlampen bring along, because it early dark (6:30 P. M.) and the blankets-ones of spotlights not so comfortable.     This hotel is in a unique and quiet location at the edge of the cliff, 55 m above the Atlantic Ocean on the south coast of the resort village of Caniço de Baixo. The establishment is a 3-minute walk from the beautiful pebble beach or a 3-minute walk to the nearby outdoor swimming pool, which includes snorkelling and diving facilities. Within 2 km of Caniço guests can find supermarkets, a petrol station, shopping centres, several restaurants, a pharmacy, a post office and more. The capital, Funchal, and Madeira Airport are both 10 minutes away by car.
  • Facilities
    The charming hotel was renovated in 2010 and offers 9 rooms. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour check-out service and a reception, where visitors can book all types of walks, excursions, boat trips, car rentals and adventure sports. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar, which offers a good selection of cocktails, and at the pub, and dine in the restaurant, which offers a variety of vegetarian dishes together with traditional local food. Additional amenities include a library, a games room, free wireless Internet access, and guests can also take advantage of the laundry service. There is a car park for those arriving by car and bicycle hire is available.

    The beautifully furnished twin rooms are on the ground floor, each with a private garden entrance terrace, 12-20 m from the edge of the cliff.
