The hotel is in an excellent location right on the corner of the Herengracht. If you like quiet is right at home here. All sights are within easy walking reachable. The rooms are very tastefully equipped and well equipped with everything you need. The breakfast room is elegantly appointed with a wonderful view of the canal. Part of the breakfast is served. In addition one can avail oneself at the buffet. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, one felt as at home immediately. As a surprise for my girlfriend I had a visit the van Gogh exhibition planned. For the necessary night stay was on internet research and I for the Ambassade. My expectations were completely confirmed, the location on the Herengracht is absolutely close yet quiet, everything is within walking distance ( inclusive the tram-station ... ) Since the hotel has 10 former old canal houses, we discovered when we had gone off the evacuation route 2 doors down stepped out of the hotel. A "cozy" hotel right on the corner of the Herengracht. Important tourist attractions for example. The Royal Palace and the Anne Frank House are just a short walk away. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast "a dream". The parking in front of the hotel costs daily between 20 and 30 Euro, otherwise threaten the "famous" Parkkrallen or an invoice for 55€. … read more

- What the hotel offersThe Ambassade Hotel consists of ten 17th-century “merchants” houses and stands on the imposing Herengracht in the heart of Amsterdam. A unique position in one of the most beautiful parts of the city; quite, yet within walking distance of all major attractions. The houses have been carefully restored to maintain their authentic character and all 59 rooms and suites have been furnished and decorated in Louis XVI style, combined with modern art. A traditional and extensive Dutch breakfast is served in the classic breakfast room in the main building with views over the Herengracht. Apart from two lounges, the hotel disposes of an internet-office, a beautiful meeting-hall in 17th century style and a library with a collection of 2000 books, all signed by the authors during their stay at the hotel. Over the last few years the hotel acquired a remarkable collection of paintings of which many by artists from the well-known Cobra-group. The Ambassade Hotel endeavors at all times to create a pleasant and warm atmosphere with efficient yet personal service in a stylish and tranquil ambiance. Koan Float, a unique float and massage center is part of the hotel.
