The hotel is located in a small bay, right next to a shopping center for souvenirs and also the town Varadero is after a few minutes with the bus. Ambience, food, and amenities are for cuban standards very good and with european hotels. At the beach and at the pool there were always enough beach chairs available and also for various activities (kayak, Pedal boats, catamaran, snorkel equipment, etc.) you had to wait never for a long time. On the first day our shower did not work. then I complained! All in all no reason to complain. All very friendly and courteous. With a few cuc's tip one got its desired drink also days later immediately without bestellund brought to the table. We have been the 2. time in the Melia Varadero and... Perfect. Have honest in the country, the people and the hotel in love. We filegen in march 2013 just go back, we would love at the entire year stay. Great, great, great. And the misery, the this hotel (despite the a or other renovation work during the day!)
