Couple celebrating 40th Wedding Anniversary on all inclusive. Hotel well laid out and spacious as was the room. Room cleaned everyday. Wild birds allowed to fly around the main hotel eating area. read hotel review

I travelled with 3 long time friends, 3 of us had never been to Cuba so we were very excited. When we first arrived the reception area was big and inviting, open and a beautiful breeze. We did have some issues with our first room but were taken care of above and beyond. The staff works very hard. read hotel review

    Our room we moved to was so very nice, large bathroom with a deep tub..separate room with the toilet and walk in closet. Large balcony, if you felt like dancing. Our room was always a surprise, decorated with fresh flowers from the trees and swan towels.. nice touch. Mini bar was always stocked.

    There were enough restaurants that I cannot see how anyone could go hungry, There was Spanish, Italian, Seafood, Pizza, Burgers and so much more. Plenty of bars, no complaints there..lol. We did tip a lot because they deserve it for there hard work.

    The beach was very nice, walked a good distance. Activities like games involving the guests including 1 of us. We took the tour bus into the market and did some shopping and checked out the culture, really cool cars they drive.

    The staff went out of there way to make our stay the best. Our shuttle drivers, Carlos, Guyen, Micheal and Adel were the best, you could not ask for nicer people. So if you are there say Hello to them please. It was a pleasure to know them.

The staff made this trip extremely enjoyable. The lady at the front desk was my contact throughout my trip and she was efficient and friendly. The food was great and also the a la carte restaurants. The beach was clean and close to the resort. The resort was easy to navigate. read hotel review

Reception Staff need training in customer care & hospitality. They do not like you requesting anything and although you can ring from your room for service/help you could be waiting as we did for our door key to be changed and water to be delivered when my wife was very ill, a wait of 4 hrs and problems 3 times with room key. Power cuts lead to loss of air conditioning which happens on a daily basis. They have an on site Doctor which is extremely useful and unusual! as my wife was laid up for 2 days and contracted ... Gastroenteritis after 2 days and needed antibiotics etc. our holiday was spoilt because my wife was so ill! The food was ok my wife only eats fish but after becoming so ill she existed on bread & water for the remainder of our stay. fruit juice has to be bought and couldn't get a slice of lemon for love nor money. This is not a 5 star hotel and there are no bars along the beach so take your own drinks. Rooms are very unclean and shabby, beware ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes & fleas they are abundant. Please note you can wade out into the sea up to your waist, its quite beautiful but there are Sting rays! No notices up telling you to beware though. We would never book a package holiday again after our experience, we are British and sick off the rip offs! read hotel review

    We requested things we needed on a daily basis like water & drinks for our room, we did not in the 7 days there receive any tea bags, coffee or sugar and waited 12 hrs for a bottle of water to be delivered. Staff have no interest in your comfort or providing a service, a lack of a complaints procedure means no problem gets resolved satisfactorily, staff worship their tips and is the only concern, about £100 for tips should see you through the week! much training is needed in customer care, hygiene, cleaning of rooms the list is endless! No one was remotely interested in my wife being ill until she saw the in house Doctor and was put on anti biotics etc for Gastroenteritis. We were so relieved to get home!

    Took 5hrs to get there from Havana, it is the last hotel on a very long stretch from Vardaro, but plenty to do if you like Fishing, snorkelling etc. the Blau Marina is a series of buildings with 3 floors, 4 flights of stairs to our room. We were about a quarter of a mile from the main building where all the food halls and main bar was, don't expect a decent cocktail! & expect to tip for everything if you don't tip you don't get anything like decent service, despite the brochure telling you not to tip! Avoid the 24 hr snack bars the food is the pits.

    The food was ok not 5 star but reasonable, my wife is not a meat eater and likes lots of vegetables and fish but she ended up with Gastroenteritis, I had a bad stomach for a couple of days up to coming home

Rooms were spacious,but smelly and need maintenance.Bathroom is ok ,but also need to be retouched in paint,sheets and towells were stained and did not smelled clean.Service,oh boy that is their specialty,they will ignore you if don't tip first.breakfast was actually good,but lunch was a disaster,you have to literally get up and go get a glass of water yourself or spoon because it could take them several minutes to bring it back. read hotel review

Hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Maximum and with all concessions 3 stars. Felt, restaurant has the charm of a werkskantine. Buffet presentation terrible. Toilets in the public areas not working. Rooms were big, but very, very worn, bathroom very old and not clean. Staff friendly, but without tip one waits too long, or is not taken into consideration. Reception staff umflexibel and rude. Guest structure: mostly very overweight canadians, which one with the food not watch would like. All in all not a recommended hotel. read hotel review

    The room was advertised as a "Junior Suite", but it was no more than an ordinary twin. It was shabby, and in need of refurbishment, and there was mould and stains on the sheets, pillows and doors and walls. This was very disappointing for a so-called 5 star hotel. The wifi was intermittent.

    There was plenty of food and quite a good range, but the quality was only average, and the variety was inour opinion not very wide - it was pretty much the same each day with only minor variations. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly even before they were tipped (and especially afterwards!).
