Great location smack in the middle of Fremont Strip. No resort fee except for a $5 Fremont Strip fee. Hotel was about $40 cab ride from airport and close to restaurants. We tried Aloha Specialties restaurant in Hotel California - cheap yummy huge servings! read hotel review

Very charming Hotel Downtown Vegas

This Hotel is located downtown Vegas, has a very charming character and a Pool with sharks around it! Insane. There are plenty of restaurant in and around the hotel and one can find anything he wants for food. The all you can eat offer in the restaurant is very enjoyable and delicious. The rooms are okay, you can tell that the rooms are not the newest anymore. Still, they are clean and comfortable. I disliked the fact that Downtown is so far from the strip which is the only negative thing I could think of. I would book another Hotel ... closer to the strip next time. read hotel review

The hotel is well located, clean and well run. However the prices for food and drinks are high : $4.00 small water, cup of coffee from the machine in the room $2.50, $7.99 at the bar. à-la-carte restaurants were very expensive. Breakfast buffet with $1 2.99, lunch and dinner buffet with reasonable $1 9.99 for $1 6.99, huge choice! Fresh food. Per person 1 voucher for '2 for 1' buffet, is not valid on the weekends. Inexpensive alternatives in the immediate vicinity. read hotel review

Nice Older Hotel right on Fremont Street Downtown

This is an older hotel but still a luxury one. The decor of the casino, pool and reception areas is beautifully upgraded. The decor in the room was older but still very nice. The room itself was a good size and very comfortable. At check-in I requested a room with 1 king bed but was warned that the only one left was very close to an elevator. When I arrived at the room I noticed that the mechanical noise from the elevator was indeed loud in the room, so the front desk agent was happy to move me to a ... different room with 2 queens. The Golden Nugget has a direct entrance to the famous Fremont Street (the "Old" La Vegas). It is a few miles from the Strip though. My only complaint is that internet in the room was not included; it was an additional $13 per night. I would have been willing to pay that, but I found that it was not wireless so I could not access it from my phone or tablet. read hotel review

These are hotels that offer only the good level of accommodations and services. Although most four star hotels are large properties. The hotel locations can vary from the very exclusive locations of a suburban area, to the heart of downtown. The hotel lobbies are with a good customer service. The cheapest hotel in this area. Good location to all attractions in the city. read hotel review

Great little noisy (if room in the direction the freemontstreet) but absolutely recommendable hotel in the 'old part' of Las Vegas. However is one also in the middle in it. A very affordable upgrade to a suite on the rushtower for us was one of the best things that we in lv ever made. Great big room (35 m2), great bathroom, couch, 42' flat screen tv, everything in the best way. Regarding the buffets in price and achievement of our opinion (we had in a week 3 hotels) lower lv average. read hotel review
