The days inn arlington is a little bit out of town the city center nearby the pentagons. Also the other attractions of Washington d. c., as well as the Ronald Reagan airport are only a short reached by car. With the motel itself we were very satisfied. I chose this hotel because of the price, close to sights and the alleged previous reviews. In contrast to the front desk were the rooms shabby and old. At the front desk is a PC with free Internet access. In the room I found hair on them. The nearest underground station is within walking distance, but for a longer stay because of the length and some steeper because not reasonable. According to Google Earth/maps relating to the grave of John F. Kennedy and the US Navy Memorial directly behind a kindergarten and a hospital is located across the street. I would not recommend this hotel. It is totally out of date and a renovation would do really well. The staff was very friendly and there was a shuttle to metro. These are the only positive things as well. The equipment and furnishing of the room was a no-go! I was glad, when we were there for three nights. We spent three nights in this hotel. I have already seen better hotels in this chain. The room was large, clean and equipped with all given. Because the Hotel in the art is set up like a motel, you have to always keep the curtain was closed so that everyone can not look. The breakfast was weak even by American standards. There were complications at the check-in they refused to give us only two rooms for a night charge, instead of 1 room for 2 nights. Toilet was clogged, after complaining someone immediately came and has the problem. Otherwise everything was okay. Free shuttle to the metro! … read more
