I stayed tree nights, have never been here before. I was quite early in the morning (10-ish), just gave it a try and they could already check me in. They upgraded me to a suite as well. Outside of the hotel is nothing special, but it's just outside the city ring, close to Belvedere and still kind of walking distance to the city. The rooms and the inside, lobby, bar etc are all very modern and spacious read hotel review

Spacious, modern and high-quality hotel

The Trend Savoyen is a spacious, modern, and high-quality hotel sited in a historical building in a good location: you can reach the CAT-terminal in just a few minutes by taxi (around €7.50), and the tram and S-Bahn in just a few minutes more. The Botanical Garden of the University and the Belvedere gardens can be reached directly. Even though it’s a main street, we didn’t think the Rennweg was a major source of noise. At the weekend there are lots of tourists (for example Asians), and throughout the week, there are business guests and seminars read hotel review

  • Service

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, umbrellas are available at the front desk (we needed them). You can also buy/book tickets at the reception. The room was cleaned daily without any complaint. There were extra pillows on request (for example, bolsters). Every guest was provided with a bathrobe and simple slippers.

  • Room
    6.0

The rooms (we had a 'standard room') are large and furnished in a modern style – the toilet in the bathroom is separated by a sliding door. There was a safe and minibar available, as well as a sitting area and desk. The flat screen TV offered a great selection of channels. The rooms have free wi-fi.

  • Sport & Leisure
    6.0

As a conference hotel, the Savoyen doesn’t offer any entertainment; the sauna and the steam bath are relatively small (but we rarely used them), the gym features exercise equipment that is usable, but not really great (they should perhaps replace it really) The massage service was brilliant... high quality at the usual prices (reservation recommended).

You can reach the CAT-terminal in just a few minutes by taxi (around €7.50), and the tram and S-Bahn in just a few minutes more; there’s an underground garage in the hotel, about 15 minutes on foot from the city. The Botanical Garden of the University is on the doorstep of the hotel and the Belvedere Gardens can be directly reached. Supermarkets in the area, but no typical shopping mall. The only thing is the Rennweg when you leave the tranquility of the hotel.

  • Gastronomy
    6.0

We only used the breakfast buffet - it was spotless and we couldn’t find anything to complain about. From the organic honey to the organic multivitamin juice to cakes and (unsweetened!) yoghurt, there was everything you’d want. The restaurant seemed to us to be too prim and proper to want to use it – close to the hotel there was a Brauerei and a Lindners with a Besel.
