Very good accommodation on myvatn. The rooms in the form of Cabins from wood are very clean, nice and spacious, equipped with three beds. A good breakfast there is a bit far from café. Price a night is not cheap, but by the general high prices in this area is the Vogafjos guesthouse which the value for money regards still quite OK. … read more

This hotel was on our island Tour offers the best of all. The cleanliness of similar buildings with about five units are about 100m away from the main road amidst a wild Lavalandschaft. The restaurant is located on the other side of the street at the end of a farm. From the restaurant there is a perspective toward the animal farm, and utensils etc. the food at the breakfast buffet were very rich and at least partly from their own production. Built in 2005, this family-run guest house is set in a unique natural environment located on the east coast of Lake Myvatn.Traditional Icelandic breakfast is served in the Vogafjós cowshed-café, 3 minutes walk from Vogafjos-Guesthouse. Breakfast is enjoyed while watching the cows being milked and guests can even taste the fresh milk. Local produce is the flagship of the restaurant, such as smoked lamb and trout and Icelandic cheeses. Geyser bread is a hot spring bread baked in the underground bakery using geothermal heat and traditional methods; a Myvatn speciality. Here guests can also purchase the local products. Myvatn Nature Bath is only 6 km away, a natural bathing place and steambath. Myvatn is renowned for its abundance many species of wild bird life. Marimo is a rare protected plant that is found only in Lake Myvatn and Japan. Business hours of reception: Every day: from 07:30 to 23:00
