The hotel is slightly far away from the city centre but you are staying the night in a castle. At least it looks like that on the outside. Like a normal hotel on the inside. The huge rooms and huge bathroom were great. read hotel review

Address is not shown correctly on Google maps. We searched for a long time and finally asked around - luckily everyone knows the hotel. Was clean, WiFi worked well. We had a room with a window facing the rear courtyard - it could have been somewhat nicer looking. The long-reaching view, in contrast, was super. You could also watch the fog as it met the mountain. read hotel review
  • Location

Peaceful location, however, we were there over the weekend, there appears to be a school next door. You can quickly get to the main street as well as to the old city. But we thought it was too far to walk to the city.

  • Service
    6.0

Very friendly and helpful - we could not put our plug from our laptop into our English outlet - luckily, e received a fitting adapter from the hotel. Otherwise you can also buy one in the drink machine. The room service was very flexible, if you asked them to come again later, the room was still done properly.

Everything was there that you need. If I book as a married couple, I expect that the beds are moved together by the hotel - well okay, we are flexible. The bathroom was also okay, the window was somewhat off center so that even when the window was closed, I could look through a crack. But honestly: this is very hard to avoid in northern Ireland with this humidity! It was not the first hotel in this region where we experienced this. I would not like to know how it is in hotels that are not as good...

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

I only give 4 points, because it is Ireland. It would not have earned even 2 suns on the European mainland... The evening was very bad, the breakfast also nothing I can get too happy about. There was porridge on request - I have also had it better before. Otherwise, still good enough so that you can get full 3 days after each other.

It is a little annoying that you have to wear a swimming cap, otherwise the whirlpool can only be turn on for 10 minutes before it stops for 10 minutes. However, it is also set so extremely hot that you need this break or so that you want to leave after it runs through. We did not use the sauna and steam bath, but it looked good.
