The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden directly at the most beautiful beach section of klong muang beach. In the hotel there is a great wildlife. Different species of birds, squirrels and warane in all sizes. Beautiful ponds in which fish and water turtles back yard. The beach is very quiet and fight there is not. In fact, the Sheraton a 'last resort', as our favorite hotel on koh lanta already was fully booked. It turned out however as the best hotel on our trip altogether. From the very nice and obviously fairly newly renovated rooms on the very well-kept area to the good restaurants. One of the few hotels, where despite good restaurants directly in the environment of the hotel half board would consider. Shops of the daily necessities and affordable laundry service are also right outside the hotel. I'll be back! read hotel review

    In the resort there are two restaurants, which we can only the italian ' geckos' visited. It is a little more expensive than the gastronomy outside the hotel. Furthermore, in each vacation more fun local food. The breakfast in the ' mangosteens' was varied and very tasty. You can until 10:30 a. m. use. In the ' martinis' bar there is a large selection of international liquors.

    The hotel has direct access to the beach and is very spacious. The airport is about 50 minutes' drive away. A more affordable hotel shuttle service to the nearby ao nang is several times offered. Taxis are also at the entrance available around the clock. In front of the hotel are some very good restaurants, massage salons and a 7/11 supermarket.

In general, the hotel was very nicely arranged. Especially the garden area was very beautiful and generously designed. It was always a quiet spot to find. The guest structure was mixed.     And here i come now to the not so pleasant part of my review. I have to say, that this is not our first thailandaufenthalt and we definitely better are. The friendliness was mostly very fake. The service at the breakfast was a disaster! I had rarely seen such unmotivated staff experienced, at least the impression. Never in Thailand, to stay in the Sheraton experienced, that the employees' shuffling ' by the breakfast rooms go. Also if someone the staff explain, that a 'milk coffee' (as it is on the coffee automats) no coffee with milk is. Tables were not cleared, if the guests went, but only, if new guests at the table wanted. Iniquitous i found also the all-morning line from about 9 o'clock the the steps up to the lobby anstaute, because 1st the breakfast rooms were much too small and 2. no real system of aufgabenzuordnung the staff was. We were once at a table and were then after a short time asked us to another table, as the where we sat was from another employee other guests assigned was. We have never experienced such a couple on the table was, their coffee got, then went loosely to relax at the breakfast buffet to use and this time their table cleared away and a new couple placed. The service as our safe the spirit condiioner was unfortunately not satisfactory (3 calls were necessary). English is the most of the staff spoke, it lacking in the debate, so that the communication often very difficult. Also the room service forgot regularly its card in the room with us.     A direct nightlife there is not. If you are looking for more hustle and bustle is certainly in ao nang better cared for. The hotel offers but relatively convenient shuttle service to Krabi town and ao nang at. In front of the hotel you find several suppliers the gladly to the desired locations brings. There are a few restaurants in the immediate surroundings. Our stammrestaurant was' the terrace ' directly across from the hotel. The food, as well as service and friendliness (we even got a small parting gift) were really excellent. Excursions could be at suppliers directly in front of the hotel. Besides there are also still directly next door a 7/11 supermarket where you everything for the day-to-day needs available. Souvenir shops or similar with a diverse selection you will find but not before.

    We had a deluxe room on the top floor and therefore a beautiful view of the garden area. Positive was the offer of free water, tea and coffee. The negative were the stains in the curtains, the mold in the shower, the structural execution of sanitärbereiches.     We stayed during our stay the malati pool preferentially. The view was amazing. Also the pool chairs in the entire area were great. A proper animation in the classical sense did not give it. Whoever wanted could test, sailing, mountain biking, or the fundamentals of the thai boxens learn.

    The breakfast buffet was only average. Nothing which one not been seen or eating. Negative i thought here, that the meat not chilled and i unfortunately with gräulicher mortadella experience had. On some days were unfortunately also fruit flies at the vegetables of breakfast buffet to discover. The number of restaurants and the offer was perfectly adequate for the size of the area. Of course it is here on evening somewhat more expensive than outside the hotel or in the cookshops, but still, the price-performance ratio was good. The 5 - course menu from the 'gecko' during our candlelight dinners was the absolute insanity. I could not remember ever so excellent to have eaten.

Nice complex. Very large, so when it's at high occupancy it doesn't seem bad, as everything is nicely spread out. The hotel is already somewhat older, but the rooms were newly renovated. Smaller problems (air conditioning) were quickly resolved - great pool area. read hotel review

The hotel and the grounds are huge. The rooms are in different houses divided. The paths from room to the beach, breakfast, bar, fitness or similar are very long. The hallways to the rooms are not clean and the rooms are not well kept - it smells damp and the bath and corridor were countless undefinable stains on the floors. Wlan gives it as already described in the executive rooms free of charge. The restaurant was every day completely overcrowded, several tables were and were partly not cleared. The breakfast buffet is reinchhaltig, but unorganised, quite many dishes confusion set ... up etc. At our travel time were predominantly indian and russian guests in the hotel - also a huge group athletes. read hotel review

    The opinions on the service in the previous reviews, we did not share. We have the staff at the sheraton than not courteous and quite rude to us. The check-in we were only after a few minutes at the reception stood (where only 2 other guests to check-in),... Also with the breakfast the staff seemed very stressed and not very friendly... The english are our opinion not good, we were now really several times at the front desk for some requests to clarify... Everything always a pain and not friendly. If you through the area it was not, as in other hotels, greeted us in a friendly way... But not... We stayed for 3 nights early checked out, because the stay at this hotel nothing to do with relaxation had. We felt very uncomfortable. Also as we the early check-out at the front desk had you not against - alone the print an invoice the nights seemed here to be a problem!

Next door there is a 7/11, moped rentals, etc. The beach right along, there is a nice restaurant, ideal for a lunch, but also for the evening. The drive to aonang you can save. 1. it is too expensive (2 00 thb for a way) and 2. the shopkeeper (no thais...) The tourists in every 2. load reinschicken...

Then in a room on the ground floor, where it to humidity smell and where we only on bushes watched, as the curtains open. The classic cages in the blocks is not attractive and there are better solutions in the region. The nice garden area between the hotel and the beach is more obstacles than helpful.     The open pool is very flat (maximum of 1.50 metres).     From the Krabi Airport circa 40 minutes the is quite ok. After ao nang it was about 15 minutes but costs a taxi at least 3 00 thb one way. Ao nang is not a real hot spot. All in all the hotel is a bit out of the way. In front of the hotel (50 meters) there were enough restaurants and the usual shops (tailors, massage, 7/11).

    The Sheraton has well-equipped, the recently renovated rooms but the first not behobenen unnecessary deficiencies (loose towel mounting plate, crooked mirror, mold in the shower). Otherwise also here better rating. The rooms are really big and have a sufficient balcony to sit. The chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. The facilities (executive room) with a good coffee maker was nice. The extensive furniture was reasonable and convenient. Cleaning was impeccably.

Hotel: Very beautiful hotel area with a large garden area, two pools, several restaurants, day nursery (for parents, also looking for peace a few hours) spa area etc. The rooms are distributed in 8 houses (A - H) and plenty of space. Our room was equipped with TV (the only German TV channel was 'Deutsche Welle') iron, safe, hair dryer, refrigerator and everything else that belongs to that kind of equipped. Room service was always thoroughly done twice a day. From the lobby you can get with a golf caddy to each of 8 houses and come back. (only for ... the ones who want to move a lot during the holiday-) ) the houses/rooms are also to be reached within walking distance. For all, who don't want to change from tanning and lazing, there is a large range of water sports (kayak, windsurfing etc.). But if you like me and are not so talented in water sports-), the fitness center has for you all the possibilities (free of charge, towels, water dispenser and shower place). Apart from the usual equipment, as e.g. treadmill, cross trainer and bench also exercise classes such as yoga, Taekwondo and bike tours, etc. are offered (but unfortunately for a fee). All the devices in excellent condition and are cleaned after use by the nice service staff. Food: Since we did not eat in the hotel in the evening (as unfortunately, most of the time it was twice as expensive as outside and the service - and not to forget tax allowance) we can only evaluate the breakfast and it was really great! Outside we can recommend Cocconut and the Sabai ba Bar, a short walk of 10 minutes from the hotel on the beach or during the high tide along the road, or opposite 'the terrace'. But better try yourselves. Tastes are different as it is well known-) Shopping options: Right next to the entrance to the hotel there is a 7/eleven. There are also 2-3 small 'boutiques', but the selection is rather limited (at least in the off season, it is likely, that in the high season more are open) if you want to go ' shopping ' more, it is better to go with the hotel shuttle to Ao Nang (200 BHT for the round trip/person) or Krabi ( 200 BHT the one-way fare/person) Money exchange: In the hotel and next to the 7/eleven there is a cash machine, however one is charged 180 BHT for each transaction. If you want to change cash, they should do it in Ao Nang at a currency exchange, since the exchange rate in the hotel usually is a bit bad and near the hotel, you will not find unfortunately, currency exchange. Excursions: If you are looking for a complete 'pampers tour' you can, of course, book the excursions with the travel agent, or in the hotel, or you grab a longtail boat directly on the beach (for example, the journey to the Hong island 1800 BHT 1-2 people and fee national park).     Different restaurants, however, we have only the breakfast in the mangosteens and in the clublounge use. In mangosteens a very large breakfast, including the following: fresh juices, eggs cook and roasting station, pastries, asian ingredients, different yogurts, meats and cheeses, various fruits, breads, serve waffle station and much more. It can also all types of coffee drinks to be ordered. If the guest takes too long, you could also a good coffee maker coffee, Cappuccino and so on are. From our point of view a very good offer. On some days was the table cleaning not so and the used tables were not cleared off, we could but only a few state. At this point we must Kitty mentioned, the also of such matters, and the young employees good anlernt! In the clublounge the breakfast is clearly reduced. The choice is much smaller, also if you eggs could order a la carte. Unfortunately is the breakfast - except more peace - no benefit of clubrooms to feel.     Two very nice -25 meters long - pools, also great for laps. The malatipool is currently to 19,10. 2013- renovated, thus is only a pool for everyone, but it has no problems, many plastic beach chairs at the beach, wood under kasuarinen and around the pools, no beach chairs reservers! We were already there twice. The hotel is really beautiful and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Especially Philipp does a great job as the bar and restaurant boss. The rooms could be a little bigger and offer more space. Unfortunately, design won over utility. Only TUI ruined our vacation again, because we could not choose an additional bed for our 11 year old son upon booking, TUI thought we could let him sleep in the crack. TUI did everything to refuse the payment. Thanks to the management from the hotel, who provided us with a cot at ... their expense. Conclusion: hotel again, but without TUI as a travel agent. read hotel review
