We had a really lovely stay on Ischia in the hotel Galidon! After our first room not so great was ( the size corresponded rather to a single room), we could without difficulties in a very much more beautiful room move. The staff in the hotel was very nice and was always make an effort, make the stay as pleasant as possible. Gladly we are coming again! … read more

We were here already for the 3. x in this hotel ( come since about 40 years to Ischia). Location on the citara Bay. Bushalte on the doorstep. Bus service is great. A hotel with good value for money. The location above the citara with a bus station in front of the house is perfect for excursions as well as for swimming at the sea. The rooms are big enough and how in Italy usual simple and functional. The food with the half-board is very good. One has the choice of several appetizers and main courses otherwise there is a salad buffet and a selection of desserts, it is luckily Italian cooked. The cure department in the home is excellent.     The hotel is located in the Forio-Cuotto area, about 2 km from the town centre and around 800 metres from the beach. Ischia is famous for its thermal spa waters, the largest in Europe with 103 sources, 69 fumaroles and 29 hot springs. There are bars and links to the public transport network in the immediate vicinity, and a number of shops, restaurants and nightlife options in the town centre. The Posaidon and La Mortella gardens are 10 minutes away using public transport, and Aragonese Castle is half an hour away. The nearest bus station is a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
  • Facilities
    The family-friendly city hotel has got a restaurant, bar, TV lounge and a cafe. There are 110 rooms in total and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and lift access to the upper floors. The beach hotel offers a shuttle service to the beach and back (except every Saturday and in August). Guests can also take advantage of the wireless Internet access, room and laundry services, a car park and a bicycle hire service.

    All of the twin/double standard rooms are furnished with an en suite bathroom with shower/WC, bathtub and hairdryer, a private balcony or terrace, a double bed and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
