Worst experience - Country INN hotel Goa

I booked this hotel as I read good reviews of this hotel on trip advisor and booking.com and also due to its association with Carlson. However, when I actually stayed in this hotel, the experience was horrible. I would say that this is a 1 star hotel. Let me share my experience. On the second day of my stay in this hotel, I found that the door lock of the room was not working. I informed the front desk and asked them to send some technician to fix this issue. The technical was sent to fix the door lock. ... He worked on the lock for 10 minutes and confirmed that he fixed the issue. When I asked him that what is the problem, he responded that the old batteries caused this problem. I asked him that I did not see you replacing any batteries and you are just putting old batteries in different order, but he lied out rightly and told me that he replaced the battery. I did not probe him further and went for breakfast. Then, when I returned to my room after having my breakfast, I faced the same problem as the door was not opening. I again informed the hotel staff to fix this. The same technician came to fix the door lock and this time he actually replaced the batteries in front of me. So, I got relaxed and thought that now I will not face this issue. After that, I locked the door and left that place for exploring goa. However, as luck would have it, my wife forgot some stuff in the room and we returned to our room we found that door lock is not working again. Again, I called the front desk and explained that this is the third time we faced this issue. The front desk executive responded that this time he will get this problem fixed and we will have enjoyable stay in this hotel. After 30 minutes, the technician was able to fix door and we were able to pick the required items. All in all, we lost 2 hours due to this issue. At 8:00 PM, when we returned to hotel and opened the door, we faced the same problem againAfter contacting the hotel staff this issue was fixed. Next day again, when we returned to the room after having the breakfast, we faced the same issue again. This time, I spoke with hotel manager and he confirmed that he will move us to some other room in the evening. I am yet to hear back from him. I would say that I have seen the most incompetent staff in any of the hotel I stayed in the recent times. Aside from this, the WIFI in this hotel was not working at all. Also, the quality of food is just average. Definitely I would not be staying here again I would also not recommend this hotel to any of my friends and acquaintances. I am very disappointed and this was my worst holiday. I would highly recommend that you should not go to this hotel! Stayed during following duration - 12th Dec-16th Dec'15 read hotel review
