We spent the turn of the year 2012/2013 and at the same time other places in the taubertal visited. In addition we had the package of the hotel aconite to the silvesterfeier plus some additional days. Although we late evenings arrived, we were friendly and accommodating welcomes. We got instead of the booked double room a massive suite with a view of the roofs of Rothenburg. All of the staff are willing to help and friendly. Breakfast and dishes in the restaurant rich and tasty. From the terrace dreamlike view of the Tauber valley. The hotel consists of altogether 4 old mansions, therefore a bit complicated respectively yet room on the other side of the street. Is however in spite of the age in good condition. Staff was very friendly, english was fair to good. There were able to exchange money at the front desk, but rates were better at the sparkasse. The rooms were very very dated, but very clean. It definitly fit the medieval feel of the whole city.The location can't be beat, right in the center of the old walled city. Though the hotel is not new, it was kept very clean. The hotel Aconite is a old-venerable hotel with very much charm and a great location directly at the market square of Rothenburg. We had a room with 'view to the green', the we very enjoyed have. The service was at any time very friendly and accommodating. Amongst others our car for a small fee from 10 euros,- / night in about 400 meters from garage parked and conditions on the day of departure automatically again on the doorstep. The building was extremely recommendable nonetheless for a city stay in Rothenburg! … read more

Location
The hotel is located at the heart of the beautiful old town of Rothenburg in the immediate vicinity of the historical marketplace, the town hall and the medieval centre.
Facilities
Built in 1600 and renovated in 2007, this traditional hotel comprises 78 rooms spread over 4 floors. The elegant lobby features a reception, a cosy café and lifts. Further facilities include a bar and an à la carte restaurant with a terrace. Business guests are offered various rooms for conferences and meetings. Garage parking spaces may be used on payment of an additional fee.

The comfortable rooms are all individually furnished and comprise a private bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone with charge, satellite TV, a radio, a minibar (charges apply) and a trouser press. All rooms additionally include an Internet connection (subject to additional fees).

Guests may hire bicycles at the hotel and a tennis court is to be found 1 km away.

How to get there
By car: on Autobahn (motorway) A7 please take the Rothenburg exit and follow the signs to Rothenburg and then the signs to Stadtmitte. After entering the gate into the Old Town go straight on and through the next gate. Then turn left. Right after passing the Market Square turn right into Herrngasse. The hotel is on the left hand side, next to the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas shops.
