Unfortunately I only stayed for one night in the FAIRMONT Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, and not for the first time and I stay true to my opinion: The Vier Jahreszeiten, Hamburg isn't a hotel, it's an institution. Everything is right here. Here, perfection is practised, it's second to none. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff can't be beat. The location right on Dinnenalterstr./Jungfernstieg is also unique. Once again, thank you for everything, I'll be back. read hotel review

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast is ok, but not more. The room was stylish furnished and sadly a bit thin. In the bathroom there was a window (not visible from the outside, as completely frosted glass), but no bathtub. But the shower was quite large. Very nice smelling gear without parabens! The food in the restaurant doc cheng's is very delicious and highly recommended. The adjacent bar is very nice and offers many cocktails/longdrinks etc. The only thing really to complain about, was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The heated towel rack was completely dusty and dirty ..., that you better avoided, towels to set. The tiles, holder and türspiegel meadows many stains on. Due to the schmutzansammlung is assume, that there already for weeks not more cleaned. In the restaurant, where you have breakfast, bodenecken and edges so dusty, as well as the door knob. You could see this good, because the morning sun directly on the dirt seemed (otherwise it is rather not so on). For a hotel in this category (leading hotel!) clearly unacceptable and need of improvement. read hotel review

Old dignified hotel with lots of charm. But you have to like the old conservative style. Location is great, rooms are very varied, we were able to see 3, since the first room didn't appeal to us. However, problems were always addressed without issue and above all in a friendly manner. We thought the friendliness was all-pervasive and astonishingly warm-hearted compared to other hotels of this price range. Breakfast is not very large but sufficient and of really great quality, the service here was remarkable too, special wishes are fulfilled without issue. What surprised us was that, in spite of ... the great stress of a weekend breakfast service, the staff maintained their constant friendliness throughout. The average age is certainly a bit higher, even we were younger than most. The hotel does also have small flaws, the food in the Asian restaurant could be improved, the decor is also a little stuffy, but it hardly bothered us, since the staff was exceptional and so we'd love to come again. read hotel review

    During our stay, the Asian restaurant was only average and the price wasn't appropriate. Lukewarm, partly over-salted food but great atmosphere. Due to the many good reviews of the restaurants, I'd maybe give it another change, maybe we just caught a bad day. The grill restaurant was great, but certainly nothing fancy.

    Friendliness and warm-heartedness were expressed here to an extent that we've never experienced. Critique was taken on welcomingly and was also implemented quickly (for instance, we weren't happy with the food in the Asian restaurant and we got different food immediately). All special requests, such as a thorough cleaning of the car, were fulfilled.

    We had a Alster view room (after we had seen two other rooms first, the first was too badly soundproofed and the second too dark and musty). Our room was large enough, had a walk-in closet, a great bathroom and a really good Löwe TV. Altogether, conservative luxury, if you like modern facilities then it really is very conservative. Everything else was great.

We are regular guest and look forward to. Beautiful is the the wohnhalle lounge, in the you with a afteroon tea lovely the soul baumeln left can. We have never rude staff - rather rude guests, where we admire, how quiet staff reacted. The small hotel bar is for an evening drink also very nice. We look forward already to the next stay in 8 weeks. read hotel review
