Lovely modern hotel, mix of leisure and business customers. Fantastic breakfast although quiet busy! Location is good, on a park and close to tourist bus terminus if thats your want. Would highly recommend staying here! read hotel review

The Tiara Hotel stands out through its exterior in particular next to the ugly bunker of a different luxurious hotel: the structure on the front makes you curious as to what is inside. You could describe it as a business and private travel hotel. It makes a very well-kept and cultivated impression and the rich breakfast buffet was included in the overnight price. From the small children to the old people, everything was there and since my business trip was during the Easter holiday, there were mostly private travelers. read hotel review
  • Room

The room makes a modern, elegant and classic impression without too much design. Stylish, but not pushy and not overfilled. The furniture made a clean and good impression. The large 'central furniture' where you will find a minibar and the window was also a poor construction, because the doors were too heavy for the joints that the constructor chose for this type of furniture. My colleagues who were also traveling reported that the doors were very 'difficult' with their cabinets. There was a capsule coffee machine from a brand that I had not heard of, real clothes hangers with hooks and not these heavy button hangers, a safe, nice cosmetic articles, even a wodden shoehorn, hair dryer, a scale in the bathroom. A lot of hotels (unfortunately) have chosen particularly stylish mini birdbath sinks that are too small and actually totally unpractical. The proven 'vanity' appears to be gone. Unfortunately, the Tiara Hotel has also joined this trend. In the closet you will find an additional blanket and three nice pillows with Brokat covers, which would not have been seen, because you have to take them out to see them. It would be better to put these pillows on the bed or the furniture, I think - because you cannot hide something like this. I should definitely mention the largest minibar selection that I ever say in a hotel. In addition to the normal small refrigerator with the normal contents, there were three flat drawers with division in which there was even a large bottle of wine to Port to Lisbon's street car as a miniature souvenir. The view as also great: my room faced the sea and I could see the traffic section 'Praca Pombal' down to the water! The prices of the mini bar: Water/ juices / soft drinks: 4.60 to 7.30 Euro Beer: 7.30 Euro Champagne 50.50 Euro Spirits 8.40 to 23.30 Euro Wines (different sizes) from 9 to 60 Euro Snacks 4 to 13 Euro

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. I did not have any complaints.

  • Location
    6.0

The location is central and still quiet. Not far from the popular upper end of the Avenida de Libertade where the Marquis de Pombal sits atop its column. In 30 minutes, I can walk from the hotel to the sea, over the Avenida de Libertade. The El Corte Inglés warehouse is only 10 minutes away and the walk to the Jumbo supermarket in a shopping center is about 15 minutes.

I was very satisfied with the breakfast buffet. I did not use any other food offers. The buffet restaurant has a very cozy and living room like equipment with a lot of shelves and furniture in which books and decoration elements are found - it almost seemed as if you were eating in the living room. However it was expansive enough in order to offer space for countless guests, but it had a friendlier atmosphere than the well-known 'food hall', because it is a little crowded and was separated with a few steps and angles. The buffet was built on a large table next to the lobby and also around a bookshelf column. I thought the idea was very charming. The staff was there and it only took a few seconds (!) from when you finished a plate and this was picked up by the very attentive staff. Really great! Of course, it is great that the coffee comes from one pot and the hot milk from the other pot, also hot. Really great for people who love coffee with milk! The food was diverse as you would expect from a good breakfast buffet. I also took a few photos of this.

The 5 - star hotel is in the older and is easily firmierende a renovation. During our stay very many groups (amazing for a 5 star hotel). Room rate was ok, but all the amenities for example bar of chocolate from the minibar €1 0.10 outrageously expensive. A local liqueur the everywhere in the city not more than €2.50 costs, costs €9.00 in the hotel bar. Hopelessly covered, so much staff and few guests in the outlets. read hotel review

As a participant in a meeting, i was on a business trip in the hotel accommodated. The value for money was very good (120 Euro per night) and i was with the hotel satisfied. Wi-fi and free internet access worked well. With the taxi one is fast in the town and also in 15-20 minutes at the airport. Despite the near airport no noise. My room was on the 16. floor and very spacious. Only the prices for the mini bar were overpriced and partly one noticed, that the hotel already somewhat older should be. Even if i this time ... no time had, it would be in this hotel category a spa (sauna and pool) was appropriate. read hotel review
