This hotel deserves its 4 stars! It has very much hotel-Nostalgia, perhaps you could, if one is not willing to embrace it. And you should definitely - otherwise you are missing out for example the rich breakfast and the stylish Diner on the terrace with first class and attentive service. My single -room was spacious, modern but stylish renovated. In the closet I found enough hangers and it was clean cleaned.     The hotel is just 300 m from Lago Maggiore. It enjoys a very elegant location, which though easily reached, is away from the hustle and bustle of Locarno, Ascona and Lugano. Magnificent, poetic, evocative Lago Maggiore is still one of the world's most popular tourist destinations with visitors coming from far and wide. On the Swiss side, the lake can be reached on foot in just 7 minutes taking a path which runs beside the Navegna stream. Locarno, with its restaurants, bars, pubs, nightspots and shopping venues is some 2 km away.

    The hotel, majestic and elegant, is located in a sun-kissed, peaceful residential area of Locarno, in lush, exotic grounds. The spa hotel, amongst the most highly regarded in Ticino, provides business people and holidaymakers with placid seclusion in an evocative atmosphere. In addition to a lobby area with 24-hour reception and check-out services, this 67-room establishment features a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, cloakroom, lift access, café, newspaper stand and a bar.
