280 room vacation hotel, divided amongst 4 floors, hotel and outdoor facilities in a good state, unfortunately a part of the pool facility is blocked off due to reconstruction. During our stay in April, there was a colorful mix of all ages (families with small children to retired couples - everything was there), mainly guests from England, but also many Germans, the rest of the guests were from Italy, France, etc.) read hotel review

    Hotel in the sparsely populated, peaceful north in a bay, a neighboring hotel within view, the closest bigger city (Mellieha) is a few kilometers away (of course there is a supermarket there, but there is also a small shop in the hotel that supplies guests with the most important things). Small beach directly by the hotel. If you do not want a rental car on Malta because of the left-hand driving, you can find a bus stop with frequent service from line buses 300m away. There is a boat dock directly by the hotel (trips to Comino-Blue Lagoon and Gozo are offered) ferry harbor for the car ferry to Gozo about 1 km away. The airport is about 1 hour away depending on the traffic.

    large main restaurant for main meals, smaller dishes could be ordered at the bar. Pool restaurant closed because of construction work. Of course breakfast was geared towards the English guest, unfortunately, a very limited offer in regards to the selection and diversity. Significantly better in the evening, good Mediterranean cuisine with a reasonable selection of appetizers, different fish and meat dishes, vegetables with 1-2 types per evening could be improved.     Hotel has several pools, only one is accessible due to construction work, it is heated. Small beach, loungers are in a bad condition. Entertainment was available, but is offered in a discreet and humorous manner. Spa area with a small indoor pool. Boat dock directly at the hotel, possibility to rent canoes, jetskis and pedal boats or to go on a boat tour towards Comino/Gozo.

    Hotel has several room types to offer, we had the 'Comfort Sea View' variation, probably the standard room. On the 2nd floor on the back of the hotel facing the parking lot, sea view, peaceful. Room size was big enough, furniture design somewhat outdated, beds are bad (very short, hard mattresses, you notice every single spring). Bathroom okay, sink unfortunately very close to the toilet - very tight!

    The positive thing is that you can speak English anywhere in the hotel without any problems. Service quality (friendliness included) in all areas (restaurant/bar/front desk) was unfortunately somewhat fluctuating, from friendly, funny and prompt service to completely unorganized or hotel employees completely ignoring the guests - everything was there. Room cleaning was almost never before 14:00 (one time shortly before five) and unfortunately very superficial.

The, from various documents suspected best location of the 4 * hotel, has been completely confirmed. N/w-sided with views of the islands of Gozo and Comino. The hotel has according to specification 280 room - sea and land. In summer, a spacious pool landscape with various facilities usable. The hotel management made a very good impression. Daily multifarious swept and cleaned - even the ways and areas of the grounds were cleaned. In the lobby there is free wireless internet in the room is liable to pay the costs. We had booked half-board. The average age in the course of ... the 2 weeks (20,12. To 3.1) only slightly from older to younger changed. Similarly the origin - mostly english and far eastern on mostly italian. At the end even the french and the proportion of infants gained. As in large installations usual the guest structure was very mixed - from shorts and boxershirts the food coming up to the full-length dress. But it is hardly anyone unpleasant. read hotel review

    There is a huge but divided - restaurant with flexible tischzusammenstellung, a large but weak bestühlte lobby and a bar with quite few seats, in the area also the evening meetings took place. The breakfast buffet was southern with british twist - but very extensive in selection and quantity. The evening buffet we found excellent - a large selection of everything with some local fare - for example, rabbits. From the hygiene we had also a good impression - everything was appetising draped and constantly were buried or ausgepatzte leftovers eliminated. And the supply worked unique - i have very seldom noticed, that something temporarily from - there was generally always refilled. Was remarkable, that the opulent christmas and neujahrsessen, which far beyond the normal selection side, without additional adjustment was offered. In the large dining room it was sometimes very loud, but if so many nationalities were there, the simple addition. The prices were reasonable. A glass of red wine (circa 2 cl) about 3 Euro. A small - my taste good local beer (about 2.5 cl) about 2 Euro. Individual tip, was almost impossible, as the staff - even in the service 1 purchase order - constantly changed. Similarly the room service. One had only the possibility somewhat to the 'basket' to put. The service has still never suffered.

    Now, in the winter there was of course only indoor entertainment in the evening. This was relatively unobtrusive. More or less good singer inside gave their best to electronic desk. cpl. Up to our check out was the emphasis on weihnachtsliedern. In the dining room, there was background music with a limited selection (you jaded with a few - mainly - bing-crosby cds) at weihnachtsliedern - not unpleasant, but: it must in the dining room really a, in the general noise anyway setting, additional noise give? In the basement there was a spa area with a circa 15 times 12 - metre heated swimming pool.

    We had a so-called superior room with balcony and sea view. Great! Rooms about 35 square meter plus spacious bathroom - unfortunately, as usual, no separate toilet. Soaps, shampoons, etc. Were rich supplement. Balcony about 12 square meter with a fantastic view (see above). Large tv screen with only 2 german channels - but we are therefore already went for it - understandably, the english and italian programs dominated. Closet and storage space were sufficient. Beds hard but good. Only at the modest ambience one could which suspend - but the other circumstances easily offset. Pleasant at this time of year, was, that you with the air conditioner could heat. We had it so despite nightly outside temperature of 9a 14° always comfortable. Nice was also the kettle in the room, which is also always with tea and coffee was supplemented.     A minus for the front desk. Since we on the arrival day late arrived and the next day at noon an appointment in the island - highlight 'hypogeum' had (one must at least in the spitzenreisezeit long preorder, since only 80 persons/day be permitted), we asked for a busübersicht. It later in the internet function and relaxed the right information found. The other service including the restaurant and room was excellent to very good. All were hard working and friendly. Regarding cleanliness throughout the hotel it gave to suspend nothing at all. At least every 2 days fresh towels, all 4 days fresh bedding - but to cover unfortunately only sheets (on the ceiling drüberlegt ) and no deckenkappen. With this' technology ' is not everyone - for example, my wife - rightly so.

    The extreme n/w-end of the island, this location as lonely describe (which we were looking for!). There is only one entrance from the far away thoroughfare. The nearest bus stop is on foot in about 10 minutes along the beach, past the diagonally across the bay hotel 'Riviera'. After the buses from the the ferry from/to Gozo drive past, one has - in theory (i will come back) - quite a lot of choice for the rest of the island. A rental car is, provided you had no problem with the left lane traffic, recommended. On the island Gozo you're definitely faster, than in valletta - not to mention the like for example marsaxlock. Attractive - at least for us and mostly at this time of the year - is the possibility, the environment too erwandern. Old wehrtürme, steep cliffs and picturesque bays.

The hotel is located in north of the island. It has its own private sandy beach, the clean and well maintained. We had a room with a sea view, gorgeous. We had a double room with extra bed and half-board. The bathroom was bright and really clean. The tv (unimportant for us) was very small and only has ARD, ZDF and 3 sat. It was a multicolored mixture at nationalities. English, italians, russians to french and german everything was there. Likewise it behaves with the age of the guests.     So if you over the lack of friendliness of the employees complained, is impossible in the same hotel. The waiters ran about the dinner the heels off for the drinks quickly to the table to get. One evening we had to wait a bit longer for our orders to be able to deliver and was politely apologized. English is of course an advantage, but honestly; belongs Malta to Germany?     The beach is located right in front of the hotel. The journey time to the airport is difficult to quantify, it depends really on the mobile vehicle at! But between 45 minutes and one hour it. Shopping you can not. The hotel has it's own shop with relatively normal prices and about 500 meters away is a mobile kiosk -that was all. Night life - no. Desk are offered in the hotel. We are, however, even with the bus over the island. There is a great simple bus system. For 2,60 Euro the whole day you can and whenever change as you like. The bus drives about 600 meters away from. The famous Paradise Bay is about 1 kilometer away and with bus ride away.

    The rooms are about 16 square meter large. They are furnished in a typical local style. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. The tv in our room had a diagonal of 37 centimeter But there are also some rooms with flat screen on the wall. The balcony was about 1.20 time 4 metres. We had 2 white plastic chairs and a matching table. Since we 3. were, we have a chair inside out in/out privileges. The air-conditioning worked perfectly. Fridge was enough for a few drinks. Telephone we didn't use. The bathroom was to our full satisfaction kept clean. The bathroom has gone for us as a family was enough.

You can here a incredibly beautiful underwater world watching, and the right in front of the hotel.

    Since i really picky, it is a little to my taste buds. It gave from chips about shell salad up to the super soft roast beef daily something else. For dessert are available every evening cakes, cakes, melon and ice cream available. Bread and rolls are completely okay. The meat is southern too typical. Every morning there were hard boiled eggs, fried eggs and scrambled eggs. Moreover, schokoladenflocken, inter alia, as well as cereals and yogurt. In addition there was a typical english. By many small tables i did not like in a cafeteria. For cost orientation: a Sprite costs 1,95 Euro and a Budweiser 2,20 Euro.
