I must at the outset that i did not understand can what some tourists this hotel upset. I was with my boyfriend after a great Bangkok stay for relaxing in the Palm Beach Resort and we were absolutely thrilled. We had a jacuzzi bungalow with a view of the sea. Nice hillside resort with lush tropical flora and fauna. A small artificial brook schlengelt by the complex. The restaurant is located directly by the pool with a view of the beach and the sea. The lobby is wifi free of charge to receive and there are 2 internet computers. At our travel time (january/february) were mostly over 60 guests from different european countries since. Always again! The hotel in jungle-style, and the beach is a great combination. We had booked half board, in the evening you could between two 4 course menus or a la carte. It was always tasty. Wi-fi is available at the reception free of charge. read hotel review

We stayed as a couple (60 years) from 14,1. until 29 january 2014 after a südthailandrundreise in this very beautiful tropical grounds, and completely satisfied with this hotel. The mountainview room was very quiet with beautiful views of the upper pool to be very pleasant for swimming was. The beach is one of the few clean, well maintained and without rocks was. The staff is very friendly and tried hard. The lower pool was due to its small size hardly frequented. A big minus is the early morning 'reserving'. %singlelinebreak % There are 'experts', who believe, the best being ... because of the sea for their entire stay booked and this from 6:00 a. m. reserve. Definitely older resort in a nice location. The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches of the region. That is the good. One has however not the jacuzzi bungalow retreat and (as we) in a standard bungalow is the less nice. Especially the bathroom is certainly not up to the standards of today's time. Late 80er years our suspicions. The garden area seemed more like a jungle which was nice, but turns out in the room all kinds of animals. Especially, because there is no mosquito nets or doors gives. The breakfast is below average, the staff ... friendly - understands zero english. The audience was rather strange. Exclusively retirees from Germany, it was tested a bit the feeling after ' nursing home under palms' on. Conclusion: fantastic location, easy worn area. If you don't set importance on chic, nice and design sets can here but a nice holiday. read hotel review

    There are 2 pools. The upper is the nicer. Here comes from and to a 100 kilos reptile for a little to drink. No joke. The beach pool is also not the newest. Also the german granddads and nana's already in all early to all the lounge chairs. But if you at the sea and the beach at the pool the is anyway not to help. Or?

Our period of stay in the Palm Beach was the 20-12-2013 to 6 january 2014, so over all holidays away. Let's start with the positive things on. First and most important is the location of the hotel on the beach 'Sunset Beach'circa 3.5 kilometer south of trübseligen Bang Niang Beach location. This section is without doubt one of the most remarkable and grandiosesten festlandstrände in Thailand. In the back and south restricted by the steeply rising, wooded slopes of khaolak lamru national park. The beach has a lot of nature and without sonnenliegenschachbretter. A few are boulders an ... optical variety. About 300m away from the hotel to the north, the transition to nang thong beach, is a collection of rocks a small, very beautiful laguna landscape. West then to the horizon the andaman sea with their blautürkis schillerndem, crystal-clear water, which only from and to a long-tail-boat on the beach The hotel has enough beach chairs right up to the beach heranreichend. Up to the water there is then depending upon tide about 20-40 meter the sand is to far into the water reaching nice and almost free from shells and stones and good barefoot walk to celebrate. Our own water shoes we didn't need it. In the beach in the north, however, there can sections with larger muschelablagerungen soutenant, so you with a walk but occasionally on the floor see. But now to the hotel itself. It must be established from the outset, that this resort currently most german tour operators than 4 star resort managed, but reasonably priced at the lower end of 4 star resort in Khao Lak ranked. Why, it shows in many things. The idea, the hotel area in a large palm garden to integrate, to the natural gradient anzuschmiegen and stylish thai-setting to build, we found very good, but unfortunately it is the practical implementation and design completely failed. Basically one could say, that in this plant a larger investitionsstau in form. Tea, coffee and 2 bottles of water are included in the service. The interior of the rooms is no longer up-to-date. You have to use the classic thai style with dark wooden floors, dark wood furnishings and accessories and abgetönten wall paints tried. This is basically in order, but through the glass doors to the balcony due to the connection of the surrounding palm trees but hardly any light penetratesand the few lamps with energy-saving lamps were placed, is the sense of touch to greater than the see with the eye. The bathroom finally, the icing on the cake. As i rise early and i gladly the room to leave me, although my wife still sleep, it was unfortunately not, without the electricity for air conditioning and light to withdraw. Unfortunately, it was also on request not possible, at least one 2. key card to get. The same goes for the pool or beach towels - here is the rule: only one towel per person and day! - right: even a exchange against a fresh within a day was not possible. Especially tragic, since the pool cloths mostly worn and too small. The same goes for the towels in the rooms. As a meal we can only judge the breakfast, since we all other meals outside of the hotel had taken. Of which one should expect not too much. There is toast and eggs in different variations. A kind of coffee, tea, water and two different instantsäfte as drinks. A little cereal with milk or yoghurt. Every day watermelon, papaya and pineapple for fresh fruit. Cheddar, a gummiwurst than cuts, cucumber, tomatenscheiben and onions as decoration and naturally geschmacksarmen ham, sausage and french toast and a daily changing, warm thai court (fried noodles or rice with vegetables and meat), which with the otherwise so fresh thai wok dishes, but nothing to do, because for hours on a spritusflamme to stewing. - overall adequate, but without any alternation. What i missed, were clearly more selection of fresh fruit (we were finally in Thailand!), fresh juices and coffees. From my point of view is unacceptable that any lack of nondiabetic food! Not even sweetener there was! - breakfast at mcdonald in the place is more varied and including taxi probably more favorably than the hotel breakfast (we highly recommend but the breakfast at stempfers café) The cleanliness of the area was only superficially. The pools were cleaned every day, the room service did his work well. The restaurant, especially the breakfast area, but it is both from the cleanliness and the hygiene was badly. I even induced stain on the floor was also after 5 days still there, it has been so in the meantime not swept! The coffee and teapots are completely rigid, the tables were only superficially wiped, fresh food with leftovers on the buffet was dreadful and the beach for the eggs is also entirely unappetizing arranged (eggs and omelets uncooled!) The service at the hotel is very bad. The staff was mostly unmotivated and untrained, trained, it is in any case, at least not on an international standard. Everyone has a use tunnel vision and is on its current task focused. On special requests (for example a 2. key) is not taken into consideration. Messages, for example from reisevernstaltern, in our case to be late passed on. During the two feiertagsdinner was the tables were nicely decorated and the arrangement, it haperte of the processes in the service. The clearing of the used dishes you had to point out, the supply of drinks was good and the buffet was good quality poor, and the warm food too long prepared and partially cold. - andwho the country of the smiles to get to, the plant must definitely leave! As communications technology are poorly lit room two obsolete windows computers with internet access are available. Only one of them had an outdated usb port, around a camera to plug in. Data throughput at about 1 mbps. sufficient for smaller internet or check of emails. Free wi-fi gives it only in the lobby. Printer are not available. An important point we would like to take this point light, the for many tourists is important, but too often in criticisms forget: the accessibility. In this plant exhausted is unfortunately very fast. Only a driveway ramp to the reception from the car park is everything, what is available. Stolperkanten on the paths and stairs are no rarity. Conclusion: Also based on the relatively low price, the price-performance ratio for this area too bad. We we can not recommend this hotel. The reasons are summarized: • decor is very much in need of an overhaul • technical facilities are very dated (hvac, lighting, energy, communications technology) • service is not up to european standards • food and quality of the food/drinks (breakfast) is inadequate. • lack of accessibility and safety equipment (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) • completely excessive feiertagszuschläge, based on the performance. The 4 stars are from our point of view too much. A shame - with a better management and a readiness you could be here a really good boutique hotel make it, which its price value is. The offering tour operators is in dire need of would be advisable, to reconsider, whether this area in this condition in their portfolio fits. The location of the resort is fantastic. The hotel as such was very could be improved. Beautiful jungle embedded, directly at the great sandy beach. The hotelsterne but not the data of the tour operators. Everything was a bit in need of renovation. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The staff is not very attentive and very friendly. Deluxe pool villas was very good at the nearby beach. For the high price but expected more. Tub broken, mold in the shower, under the bed was not cleaned. When we arrived, we had to ask for, all of this ... time is made clean. Broken and dirty bedlinen, from the windows you could not raussehen before loud dirt. Outdoor pool clean, but everywhere solve the tiles. Beach chairs and tables were very dirty. In two weeks never cleaned. Conclusion: top location, hotel never again! read hotel review

We were from 28 december 2013 until 13 january 2014 in the Palm Beach Resort. The area is beautiful in the jungle embedded. Our jacuzzi - villa is located directly on the beautiful beach. Idyllic and quiet location. With the taxi in front of the hotel one is in 5 minutes to the city center. Very recommendable the restaurant kung seafood, diagonally vis à vis McDonald's. The hotel is a bit older, but still nice. The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient, there was something of everything. The cleanliness of the beach chairs and tables at the pool/beach was unfortunately ... very to be desired. The staff was not very friendly, as we otherwise Thailand are used. But a few individual nice and helpful staff gave it also. The location of the resorts we found fantastic! Unfortunately there is this sick, despite hotelreglement, it is not allowed is, in the morning at 6:30 a. m. their couches to reserve must. Nation Germany, every age, just yuck! The staff take drastic measures. Also concerning cleanliness and courtesy could be improved a lot. In beachpool solve all the tiles, especially on the stairs and the sprudelbänken. For children very dangerous, because the very sharp is. Unfortunately was our zimmerjaccuzzi broken and it took 8 days until a new mansion got, which with the expensive price was very annoying! The dirt the new year fireworks in the sandy beach left, was in the 2 weeks we were there, not removed. So unfortunately is whole area, everything was a bit grubby and aufräumbedürftig! But we found the location as already mentioned, simply fantastic and one of the most beautiful beaches in Khao Lak! Hotel was great, the location is fantastic, and also the beach section of the hotel is great. Other hotels have rocks or steinsbrocken. But the best is the possibility fast to peters bar! Here you can with mister Moo the best tours book now at, you can get the fun treat yourself and in the hotel the tours are promoting and then at mister Moo, it is much cheaper, and the guides are also better mood, than the guides of the hotel booked tours! So to peters bar at the beach and at mister Moo his wishes fulfill-) oh ... and the massages since the ladies are really great, was worth it. Flf read hotel review

Beautiful, well-kept in the jungle, the complex to relax after our trip. Only the in the soil sunken bath in our gartenbungalow was a stupid invention. Otherwise was in the bungalow everything was beautiful. There was always space on the pool and the breakfast was great. We had already after some reviews expected the worst and were very pleasantly surprised. Our restaurant tip is the siam star in Khao Lak right at the beginning of the right sides. Typical, tasty, friendly and inexpensive. We were so comfortable, that we do not have other more tried. Hotel is not very large, is situated in the heart of the dschungelgebiet. The area is kept very clean. With the cleaning of the pools, you do not take it so exactly. In the lower pool were also some tiles and, in fact, not so particularly beautiful as, on the pictures. (do not understand this the wrong way somehow already, but these failings are a not for bathing.) Free wi-fi only in the lobby, where 2 computers and a room full of books to read.     Of course, there were also some 'black' sheep among the staff and it is also the case, that the one or the other person more or less like. Is clear. Some staff can tell you, the friendliness only pretended and with other not. You got along with english very well, but not all of the staff could speak english. The zimmerreinigungsladys did their job well. But sometimes you noticed, that it was only quickly made and some things were overlooked. In bergpool there is no good possibility of the pool, it was at the reception and one got the answer: 'you could not remaking.' What is actually totally moronic is, since it brings could, if you have the top level in the middle would have put.

    From the airport phuket to Khao Lak one drives a good hour (depending on the driver). To the city center one runs about 20 minutes (+ / -). Distance to the beach (from our room ), about 5 minutes on foot, the rooms situated in, had little more to walk. (circa 2 minutes more). 3 time the week takes place in the neighboring town of the market. This can only be recommended to go. (monday, wednesday, saturday, it is the largest and one finds everything, what the heart could wish for). Excursions you should very compare. We have much with a 'private' taxi driver in the closer periphery explored and clearly paid less, than direct suppliers. Taxis etc. , there are everywhere and you can go for 100 Bath from the hotel in the city or 150 Bath to the market. In the more immediate vicinity you can also much to hiking and also much to explore on foot.

    We had a garden Village room. Was great at first glance. On the 2. there was the one or the other Macke. Size of the room about 45 square meter. Condition itself was in order. The furniture. Bed, tv was there (so a old-style crt tv, the tv not tested, so we couldn't say how the picture or otherwise which.) A minibar was not there, but a fridge where you could buy and there to cool insert could. Every day there would be 2 bottles of still water. Okay now we come to the bathroom area. So sink was ok. The many shelves were also great. The closet was for 2 people definitely too small. The safe was large enough to secure. Shower/toilet. Actually should a bathtub with in it, which we found before. A sunken area for showers, for people with a disability or difficult stairs,, absolutely nothing. The toilet itself. No comment ☺

    No animation available. Beach: beach was excellent. You could easily go for a stroll. Only the beach chairs directly at the beach there were so press next to each other, that (we) didn't want us to lay down. Clearly there was again some 'people' the first thing in the morning, the best couches' sturmbesetzten' and went constantly sunday There were plastic beach chairs, umbrellas were not so many available. Showers were great.

    There were two areas: A where the 'famous breakfast' and the other was nearly directly at the sea. For breakfast: Clearly you have to say, the breakfast could really a fresh wind use and maybe from time to time also times an alternation, as after 3 weeks of toast, jam, and so on. A sometime but on the nerves went. Otherwise are on the whole area cats rum and it can happen, that you next to a on the chair seats (while many guests help, that the cats do, with your fütterei!) Quality was good. Fresh fruit was always available every day and 3 different juices after something artificial tasted. Dinner: We had half board was so: you got the menu and a 2. map where the choice between 2 menus had. (thai or western) The thaiform, was actually always something thai, (which wasn't bad, no issue) And the westernmenü was always varied in meat etc. On some evenings, it was so, that it from one minute to the other to the rain started. This was sad, because the hotel can do nothing. Prices i think were ok. Soft drinks 70 Bath, Water 1 liter 160 Bath. With the food was it already sunday One had eaten and the waiters looked already, whether one is finished and the plates cleared again and the next motion could. The quantity of the food : was always really good, however each evening 'fresh fruit'. Sometime you could then no papaya, pineapple and watermelon see more. As i said, actually we felt very comfortable, if the really good staff was there.
