I am on business every year in Havana and observing the creeping decline this very nice in the old town nearby hotels. The atmosphere the old gemäuers with the wonderful inner courtyard is still fascinating.
However was in my 'junior suite' no plug for the bathtub anywhere and the holder the shower on the wall it has long been canceled. In the fridge state of black mold and the walls crumble after old damages caused by water to. The breakfast consists of stale bread, egg and some fruits. The coffee is good! The Hotel Conde de Villanueva ideally located in the old town, all sights the old town are comfortable in a few minutes more than reachable on foot.
The service was not outstandingly friendly, you will merely noted. Which was probably also because of is, the the staff partly only badly English and the communication is difficult,

Of service we didn't notice.
At night there was a security guard suburb, against the noise by the firm doors has however none of what has been done.
Staff was actually always enough there, but none gave hospitals something to take care of it.The breakfast was the worst, that we during our cuba trip got.
In brotkörbchen were broken slices of toast, which partly tough and old or multiple aufgetoastet was.
Butter gave it per person with the utmost care exactly 10 gram
A 20 g cup jams.

The decoration of the room was very impressive. For example: high-ceilinged room, old stucco on the ceiling, decor from the baroque period, corner bathtub, französischischer balcony facing the side street... The overall picture of the hotel a delightful place over several centuries back in the past, but it was very well maintained...
