Good : very friendly, attentive staff, quick, friendly check-in and check-out.Good: extensive, beautifully prepared buffets with both international dishes, as well as a wide choice at curries. Very good: separate, cooled area for the delicious desserts, and all, which must be kept cool. Not so great: the dining room is although it is very nice, bright and attractively furnished, but unfortunately also quite large and the many tour groups it can quite loud are. We were during our round trip 2 days in this hotel. The view from the balcony and from the restaurant is breathtaking, one looks directly on the river and the jungle. Plays the whole with the cries of monkeys and colorful Birds. The beautiful pool has also 'river view' The buffet is excellent, there is a separate buffet with local dishes. As a part of our Sri Lanka round trip spent we two nights in chaaya Citadel Kandy. The room had a sufficient size. Bathroom was also completely okay. Balcony had a nice view to the Green. Location
This hotel is situated about 5 km from the lively city of Kandy and its many shops and entertainment venues. Many attractions and a connection to the public transport network are equally close. Colombo's airport is about 120 km away. The transfer time is approximately 3 hours.
Facilities
The hotel comprises a total of 121 rooms spread over 5 floors. Guests may make use of the spacious foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk, lifts, hire safes and outside a charming pool and garden area. In addition, a TV and games room, a cosy bar, a café and air-conditioned à la carte restaurant are also available. Business guests may make use of the conference rooms and the public Internet terminal with WLAN Internet access, Additionally, room and laundry service as well as medical assistance are also offered to guests. Car parking facilities are available for guests arriving by car.
