My conclusion: economy single rooms are not livable, as without real natural light and in the size of a cell (actually!). To bezahlendem upgrade we landed in larger rooms with a great view of the ocean. However: mold on the walls, no functioning heating, crushing shower, broken toilet flush, etc. and beyond: poor breakfast, completely broken chairs in the food, unappetising dishes... Malta is more than worth a visit, but not necessarily with this accommodation. read hotel review

The clearly aged hotel convinced only with the brilliant view over the whole bay of mellieha. The furniture is threadbare and worn. The floors solve partially on. The walls are so thin, that the hotel is very badly soundproofed. To the pure and from the hotel is pretty good, a long stay possibly bad weather is not recommended. read hotel review

    A dining room, the more like a old cafeteria resembles, worn chairs, shaking tables. A terrific view of the terrace and the swimming pool on the bay melliehas behind a very large glasscheibenfront. The breakfast buffet was very english. Alternately the english sausages and bacon, always beans and eggs. The offered cheese was analog cheese, ham reformed meats. Cereal and milk are available. Coffee from a machine. The dinner is always from 2 hors-d'oeuvres (soup and pasta) and 2 main courses (fish and meat), this fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Pickled olives, capers and real cheese. The food was relatively tasteless and exists to the majority made of frozen ingredients. But it is always freshly prepared. For dessert, ice cream and cakes. Beverages must be paid in the evening, but they were very cheap.

    There is no sport offers. The pool is outdoors and not heated. In november it was much cooler than the sea. The evening music show, was also because of the very low available space just a solo entertainer, but on the service received.

    I had a double room for alleinbelegung. Very restrained conditions. Space between bed and sideboard about 40 centimeter The available abstell and einräumflächen were for me alone okay for one week. To 2. it would become scarce. The tv had a screen diagonal of 30 centimeter, i did not try, if it goes. The bed was for me with 1.70 body too short, so my feet below out hung. The transformer electrical area hums very loud, the drain pipes the whole house walked with me through the bathroom, which is why i have always been a gurgle and chuckle had. No refrigerator, hair dryer on site. Both english and german outlets available.

    The staff is friendly, not always the english especially well powerfully, but it makes up for it with service and attentive service from. The plates were when the food almost too often replaced.     Relatively close to the center melliehas located, about 15-20 minutes away from the beach. About 5 minutes walk to the bus connections to valletta and the beach. Directly at the hügelböschung location, great views over the bay of mellieha. One street further west is also a pleasant view of the sunset over the sea to erhaschen. Mellieha is a small, at least in winter not particularly bustling town.

    As already mentioned, the hotel provides the friendliness of the staff. In other reviews i read, the staff was rude is. I can't confirm. I always say, if the other a smile according, you get also always one to walk back. ☺ helpfulness enormous. After my return to the airport worked well, the bartender with his car to the airport-to shift end. The staff speaks english and italian. If you only spoke german, was at the wrong place. But english should be standard for us german.

    Before 20 years as a young man i for the first time in this hotel and as a single traveller a coop get. But i was young and needed the money. Now i had the room, which i booked. Double room with sea view, the perfect each day was cleaned. Maybe you are visiting the maids also times in the restaurant chic... The decor certainly simple, but functional and everything worked. Tv had two german channels with the ZDF the best picture had. Even the maltese or italian channels you could only as radioplay enjoy. Shower a bit tight, if one something wider shoulders has. ☺ but it was ok.

    Malta remains firmly in british hands. At least in this house. I love a so-called 'full english breakfast', but also the there was just not. Bacon softened, scrambled eggs from the tetrapack, etc. For dinner, there was always only two dishes, which generally would be adequate. Good quantity but quality i would rather than bad describe. There were exceptions. There was the cleanliness in the restaurant- and buffet area under any review. So what should not exist. Perhaps i do not see that as hotelbetriebswirt a bit different but also with three stars can i expect, that plates, cups and cutlery were clean.

    In mellieha one lives more peaceful and relaxing there than, for example, in St. Julians or sliema. For party goers and night owls so not recommended-for me it was just perfect. Bus connections in all directions are problem-free and the bus stop in few going minutes attainable. You can walk to the beach -20 minutes downhill and about 20 minutes uphill. For me thank god no problem... ☺ but there was also a bus. Restaurants and bars are located in the immediate vicinity several available. Shopping rather after Valetta or sliema.

Elicited by holiday check team, As you know, i agree with you so often driven and have also a few reviews written. But today i must from given occasion of a hotel reports where the 03. until 12-04-2013 tried spend your vacation. I would be grateful, if my report publish would. Other vacationers before to warnenund the hotel not too buchn. Because i don't speak english and he allegedly no word german understood, he pointed me on the envelope, which i had with the date of the day after tomorrow at 09:30 o'clock where a german speaking lady would ... come. As it turned out, it was the owner himself same. So i had to wait for two days to the deadline. Since i heartsick am (corresponding mail i had the hotel already in february with the reference please quiet room already send). Believe it or not, i had big claustrophobic in this room to return, let alone to stay. But somehow i had it with the help of some sleeping pills managed to the meeting. On 03. arrived on 05 the deadline. So i had to a time two nights in the doghouse overnight stay. But it should still worse! I am now with great expectation and hope of improvement the location for gesprächgstermin gone. The rep my case stated, where you then the big boss went. After a short meeting she came back and told me, that the hotel was fully booked and everything in the old will remain. I fell from all clouds with the idea, i 7 days in the dirty, narrow dump houses should. Then i began immediately to questions, when the next machine home or a transfer into another hotel is possible. After several phone calls turned out, no flight to 11.04 (on the april i would anyway flown) and a change to the ramla bay would 196,00 Euro costs extra. Since i spend so much money had, i had no other choice than in this dirt hotel. I write so dreckshotel, because not only my hole was dirty, but the whole hotel. From the breakfast room, where a lubricant layer (the the whole time remained) with leftovers and crumbs were scattered. Since the nights were very cold, i asked the air conditioning and looked in the heizungsrippen at least 1 centimeter thick staubschicht beach chairs. So freeze, otherwise i would have me who knows what else caught! Now i began with a towel my hut to clean this meant to clean up everything: mirror, toilet, picture, bed frame, tables, tiles in the bathroom and the whole floor. As you might imagine, the towel was then kohlraben black. Let alone under the bed, where all kinds of things were provided with a half-inch thick layer of dust. In the unfortunately other days i have the cleaning lady not any more left in the trash can in front of the door, because you anyway nothing made. And every 3 days there were fresh towels. Conclusion: double room with a view of the sea booked, kennel get. Dirty hotel. Very unfriendly staff, mostly everything for english guests. Warning to all, the book this hotel, because the, which i have described, system has. I had somewhere on the internet reading with the hotel reviews, that a lady the same thing happened, what you in the hotel evaluation wrote. And with some hotelbewertungssystemen, as holiday check the hotel has the overall 'poor'. For me came too late, i had already booked.     After the hand over the room key, room 402, i drove into the same and then met the blow! A shed (differently one cannot designate it!) Around 8 to 10 square meter. After closer inspection (cement cable from the wall, mold, totally dirty) i drove down again immediately to the front desk and tried to explain, that i a double room for single use had booked.

The hotel convinced in any case by a very nice location (with a view of the bay mellieha), also the center of mellieha is close. Annoying, however, is, i a room with seaview booked and in the end one with a partial ocean view i got. Upon my request i was told, that at the earliest after 2 days a room with seaview to have is, what of course not it was pleasing. Breakfast in the hotel was quite monotonous and english. read hotel review
