  Welcome to Tuscany, here at Castellare di Tonda Resort and Spa we assure you that there is something to do for everyone, or of course nothing to do at all if you want to relax under the tuscan sun. The estate is spread over 280 hectares, 12 different farmhouses in panoramic positions all equipped with swimmingpool. There are plenty of activities going on during the year and we do hope you will soon come to visit us!
• Location
  Castellare di Tonda is located close to the small town of Montaione, within easy reach you can do day trips to Siena (50 km), Florence (50 km), Pisa (55 km).
• Accommodation
  There are 12 different farmsteads on the estate, they have all been converted into self catering apartments and they all have an private space outside. There are apartments adapted for all, you can choose between being close to the heart of the village or an more secluded farmhouse.
• Food and Drink
  The restaurant at Castellare di Tonda offers to it guests a genuine tuscan cuisine served with the estates home produced wines. During the summertime tables are disposed outside and during wintertime you will find the cosy restaurant on the first floor of the reception homestead. You can either choose by the a la carte menu or the evening buffet. And if you preferr you can also choose an halboard meal plan.
• Leisure
  Swimmingpools are available at all twelve locations, some also have a children pool. The activities at Castellare are many you can choose by horseriding, golf, mountainbike, fishing, trekking or why not a ride on the tractor.

  We organize guided tours, painting, cooking and ceramic classes. Wine tastings and visits to our cellar. Our concierge service is here to help you out with everything to let your vacation in Tuscany be the best. The spa is open for you and here you can either enjoy the steambath, sauna or just relax in the panoramic whirlpool. Treatments and different massages are available upon reservation. For the kids we have an exeptionell team only for them, the Miniclub at Castellare is famous, so many things to do and explore.

• Location
  The charming hotel is located at the heart of the Tuscany in an especially favourable position, from where guests can easily reach Siena (60 km), Florence (70 km), Pisa, San Gimignano (20 km) and Volterra (20 km). Guests will find restaurants in the immediate vicinity and the centre of Montaione is around 7 km away. Volterra train station is approximately 20 km from the family-friendly club resort.
• Facilities
  Originally built in 1700 and renovated in 2009, the historical hotel is an estate that comprises 12 extraordinary farmsteads immersed in the marvellous Tuscan countryside. This establishment offers a wonderful mixture of bygone and modern times. The country house offers 175 guest rooms in total and facilities include a lobby, children's playground, restaurant, Internet access, a laundry service (fees apply) and a car park.
• Rooms
  The 12 farmsteads have been restored following Italian traditions and modern standards, while paying attention to guests' comfort and simplicity in style. Clients can choose from apartments, studios and villas. Each accommodation unit features an en suite bathroom with shower and bath, a double or king-size bed, and a kitchen with fridge, cooker and tea and coffee making facilities. A radio, satellite TV and individually regulated heating also feature in all guest rooms as standard.
• Sports/Entertainment
  Guests can enjoy wine tasting, the animal farm, and a spa with sauna, steam room, massages and spa treatments (fees apply for all spa activities). There is also an outdoor swimming pool with children's swimming area and sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may also enjoy a game of tennis (fees apply), or explore the surrounding area by bike or on horseback (both for a fee).

• How to get there
  From A1 Bologna-Florence motorway, exit for Florence Scandicci. Continue driving on the Superstrada S.G.C. motorway towards Pisa-Livorno (Leghorn). After approximately 35 km, exit at San Miniato, and proceed towards San Miniato. Up the road turn right towards Pontedra. After around 1 km, just after the Catena village entry sign, turn left towards S. Miniato. After approximately 2 km, at the fork, turn off for Montaione and always follow this road sign. Note: after the S.Miniato end sign, turn left at the second fork towards Montaione. After approximately 7 km, drive through Corazzano village. About 4.5 km after the end of this village, the road splits. Proceed straight on, following Sughera signs and driving through Alberi. After another 2.5 km, turn left towards San Vivaldo. After 1.2 km the hotel reception will come into view.
