The hotel oberland is located in the center of the small town. Our double room was very small and had a real 'GDR Charme'. The beds made a good impression optically, but we were pleasantly surprised. Although very low, one could sleep. The bathroom is a necessary standard. Unfortunately, the shower cabin door could not be locked. Cleanliness was top. The restaurant offer for breakfast offered the usual range. Coffee or tea, fresh rolls, sausage, cheese, sweet, eggs, and some Quark or yogurt. The house looks from the outside is not very welcoming, 60er GDR style. But I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Although the furniture was not new and better times behind itself. But everything was clean, I was friendly and the room was 'served ' big. The situation is perfect in oberhof, you can reach everything on foot.
