It was my first visit to Las Vegas and I chose to stay at Flamingo only because I wanted to stay on the strip closer to all the attractions and saving travelling time and taxi fare by staying on the main attraction point. No doubt the location is perfect, in fact, my room view was awesome. I could face the High Roller right in front of my eyes all day and night, although It is more eye-catching at night when the lights turned on. What I didn't like about this hotel was the furniture and amenities in my room. No ... refrigerator, no lights (only 2 lamps), no carpet, no decoration, etc. Pretty basic room would be the right word. I have asked at the reception about the lights and they said that it's the style of this hotel, pretty lame, why not say they want to say their electricity bills. Also, the toilet and shower was awful, you can call it vintage due to its look with the shower curtain instead of a mirror wall. Its Vegas so a tourist would expect everything more advance, but having a shower curtain in my hotel seems pretty outdated. If you want to have the perfect city views, romantic feeling and affordable room then its a perfect place cause you'll save taxi fares if you stay off the strip. But if you have any other choices regarding the standard of the hotel, then NO NO NO. read hotel review

This turned out to be old fashioned not-so-modern hotel, we've definitely expected better. It is historical place, of course, and you could find good weekdays here, but generally and would say one could find a better option for the price. read hotel review

I would say this is the worst hotel on the Las Vegas strip, especially its wing that faces Flamingo Rd! The noise from clubs and restaurants on that street is very, very loud. I could not fall asleep until 3 AM. I assume the windows are not sound proof. The neighbor room had bunch of drunk males going crazy. I had to call security twice to call them down. To my request to move me to a different room, they said that they can't accommodate me as they are fully booked! They did move me the next day but the ... service, the response and the time wasted on talking to guest service and security, especially when you are there for business is just unacceptable! Needless to say, not going to stay there, even if their new renovated rooms will be at $1 price! read hotel review

I booked a Go Deluxe room with a strip view for a weekend visit. Upon checking in, I was confirmed for a Go Deluxe room and given my room keys. Once heading up the elevator to the floor, I realized the room did not have a strip view. I returned to the very busy check in desk and was informed they were sold out of Go Deluxe strip view rooms but the room I was given was actually more expensive. Telling the woman at the desk, I found that hard to believe, I asked for better accommodations since they were ... sold out of the room I reserved. They offered to waive the resort fee for my stay and get me into a strip view room the next day. Other than this issue, the stay was good. The flamingo is an older hotel on the strip and shows its wear despite the numerous remodelings. You can't beat the location in the heart of the strip and during the summer the pool is a great place to relax. For this visit my wife and I grabbed lunch one day in the food court, otherwise we were out and about walking the strip and exploring. The Go Deluxe rooms are nice. They're intentionally tacky and have that fun feeling to them. The bathroom is large and I enjoyed the oversized shower and TV in the mirror. read hotel review

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was pretty much in center of the strip so I felt like being conveniently close to all the other casinos and other entertainment options in Vegas. The hotel itself had a nice casino. The rooms were really good and I did not face any noise issues at all. read hotel review

Nice basic hotel. It's very well located on the Strip. It's in front of Ceasar's hotel and in a very short walk to the most famous hotels in Las Vegas. I didn't spend much time there, cause I choose it just for the location. read hotel review

Cheap Option in Vegas- value for money

As most of the old hotels the flamingo hotel looks already rather used. Some of the rooms on the top floors are new and very nice. however the majority is in a rather bad condition. Nevertheless the value for money is excellent. It is located in the middle of the strip with prices as low as half of the other hotels in the area. read hotel review

Awful hotel with rude crew and poor rooms

Awful stay at this hotel. The check-in crew was plain rude and gave us a smoker's room, even though we clearly asked for non-smoking. When we called that it was a smoking room, they initially didn't even want to change us. After a long argument, they eventually did. Besides that, the hotel is just old and rundown. Luckily we paid very little money for this, but even then, it's not worth it. Avoid this place, it's that simple. read hotel review

We had a very disappointing (but cheap) stay in the Flamingo. The whole hotel looks very rundown and we had a rude an incompetent check-in agent. They put us in a smoking room even though we clearly asked for a non-smoking. When we called about this, they first did not want to switch us, because of the extra hassle. Eventually they did. The rooms are very basic and a little old. They tried to charge people 30$ for an early check-in, which is crazy. read hotel review
