The camp was located directly at the Talek River and the olokimbo airstrip on the landed about 1.5 hours with the Jeep away. One drives to that by flußbetten and across feldein and looks already plenty of animals. We were at the beginning of the migration and it was fantastic. The camp has meanwhile 16 'tents', if you can call it the great facilities. We had full board, drinks are extra usage. In oloshaiki commeth total safarigefühl and one sper friendly welcome and cared for. read hotel review

The tents are much larger than normal hotel rooms, there is a large bed and a smaller, a family with a child or two smaller there was enough space. The bathroom is made of stone and wood. A large shower, dressing table, sink, gadrobe and a separate toilet. Electricity gives it in the morning, at noon and in the evening for two hours to batterie, don't forget an adapter. A hair dryer you can not use. Light the whole time. Fresh water is also at any time. The blinds during the dinner of the maasai herruntergelassen and there is hot water bottles in the bed. We would not have needed, was in our opinion not cold ;-) I have stayed in the lunchtime showered and the hair washed, since i very long hair and in the evening with wet hair it would have been too cold. So you had the lunchtime dry.

Oloshaiki is located on the northern outskirts of the maasai Mara national parks and 10. - minute walk from the camp is a maasai village, from there also the night watch, the 'service' and the driver and guide for the jeep tours. We allowed Bernhard and esta drive, which was really total super. We booked the camp at dm tours. When we arrived, there were only 3 tents occupied, because the season just returned from and after 3 days was almost each tent occupied. The Talek River, as well as the Mara river lead to the season only very little water. From the 'parking' on a bridge in the camp.

We were greeted by Bernhard and esta on the airstrip and very nice welcome. In camp arrived we towels and drinks and there was a empfangskomitee is required. Baker is for the customer service, and speaks good german. In the morning and in the evening to his tent accompanied. One gets everything of food and drinks served which one wishes itself. There is a large selection, considering where you are. Our tent was absolutely clean and the restaurant or the dining room with bar.

In the camp you board. At noon we had a 4 - course menu and one could between two main courses as selection. On the first night there were 4 courses and again two other main courses, we were totally full. When a night thunderstorm, which we to experience was allowed, you can have it in the bar or by the fireplace with a cocktail, brandy or a beer comfortable. We ate breakfast on hippopool to us. Picnic in the wilderness outdoors. On 2. evening there was then a african buffet. Then we sat outside by the campfire. Everything was adequate and very tasty. Top!

One is quasi from morning until evening with the Jeep and could the sunrise and sunset look. We have all animals seen you can imagine including the big five. Thanks to the changing natürführer Bernhard and the best woman at the tax, esta. At noon one comes then to the food to the camp, short break and around 4:00 p. m. gehtes further. One has also for 20 Euro per person the possibility the maasai were there to look at. During the lunch we could the gnus see, what the next morning already weitergezogen are. In the camp itself there were so many birds and butterflies. It was great.

Even if you during the day on game drive is, you are looking forward in the evening on a clean and spacious accommodation. And that you will find in the oloshaiki before. The camp is located on talek river, the second largest after the Mara river. Over a bridge to get to the accommodation bzwl directly in Masai Mara.

  • Gastronomy
    6.0

We took the breakfast always in the savanna a, which of course a head start with that. You can on the goal for example rhinos concentrate. Joseph as his favorite places like for instance directly on talek or Mara river with crocodiles. Lunch you sit in the open with a 3 or 4 teiligen menu. Everything is very well maintained and very good. In the evening you sit in the restaurant, also with a menu. And then you're tired from a long day. And so a game drive is hard work.

  • Sport & Leisure

Lunch makes you on a of the chairs after eating siesta. Around 15.30 there is tea or coffee and then go to the 2. game drive. As you need no further leisure offers. Our experience in other camps with a pool was, that almost never a to bathe, as the water quite cold. A we the oloshaiki firm, that the shower better worked as in our hotel on Diani Beach.

  • Service

All the employees are care a lot about the guests, the service is excellent. It is english spoken, there were complaints in all our stays no.

  • Room

There was already extensive described, the tents are very big, the furniture including beds are in the best condition. Air conditioning, tv, fridge and telephone would be here wrongly appropriate, as not on site. Toilet is separated from the bathroom, which very good we find.

A very well run small camp in the middle of the wilderness. The staff very attentive and helpful. If you really the civilization 'escape' would like to, the can a unique time in accordance with of nature and the animals spend, without on the 'luxury' a hot shower in the morning and a hot water bottle in the evening ( the nights in the Masai Mara can cold) and security. read hotel review

We were 2 nights in oloshaiki camp. Oloshaiki means in massai language 'evergreen place'. So is this camp also – in green surroundings on the banks of the talek river. You enter the camp over a stable wooden bridge. It has a large restaurant with a bar and fireplace, as well as the tents, the left and right from the restaurant to find. The tents are equipped with a large kingsize bed, as well as a smaller queensbett, seating area, separated shower and toilet area. Before the camp is possible 2 loungers available with a view of the talek river. ... Drinking water in bottles in the tents made available. Breakfast and lunch was outside -a menu is on a sign written down. The food was delicious. In the evening there is a massai in the restaurant accompanied. Beautiful it is, evenings at the campfire a drink to itself to take. In camp is in between the electricity turned off and by battery replaced. At 19:30 hours in the tent the beds and you will find a hot water bottle in his bed \u263a The price of drinks beach chairs for so at 200 ksh and for beer with 350 ksh. With John we have a experienced driver on the games drives- asante sana, John. Also the transfer the royal Mara camp of John carried out. read hotel review
